Boxrec has 1400+ heavyweights. We have maybe 10 good guys, 20 very solid prospects, let`s say first 100 guys are actually decent boxers, who live for that. The most of others are complete bums, cab drivers, street fighters, that were never good boxers and will never be. Even 50+ Mike looks better than the most of them. I rather watch ex elite old fighter fighting the other 50 old guy, than two Tom Littles fighting each other.
Tyson at 54 fought a old 50 year old, and looked slow with horrible timing...Imagine the pace with a younger boxer with good timing hitting him and making him miss
Exactly, slow vs slow is not the same a slow vs fast.
They old and done, their movements are so easy to time by a young HW that is up to say 10 rnd level, maybe even 6-8 rnd level if its the right guy.
They wont fight a real fight they just want to do exhibitions.

He puts everyone outside of Fury, Usyk, and Coffie in a coffin.

This I agree upon, though that was just a choreography. In fact, no one on my behalf spoke about having him fight the cream of the HW division. I myself wish he stayed retired.
Again, these are just fantasies, it's a game. But people get heated easily, aficionados defend their heroes against haters, etc.
Like in everyday life...
Lmao Tyson didn't take McBride's as fights, he took them for money. Here the motivation wasn't money and he looked great, even protecting Roy's chin. I would pay top dollar to see Tyson in real fight again.
Yeah, right. Today, someone who follows boxing since the early seventies and happens to state true facts about Mike Tyson is labeled as a "casual" :lol1:Tyson at 54 fought a old 50 year old, and looked slow with horrible timing...Imagine the pace with a younger boxer with good timing hitting him and making him miss
I thought this was a site for diehard fans...seems to be a lot of casuals on here with threads like this

Mike couldn't even knock out glass jaw Roy.
With 3 minute rounds he would have. Also Roy studied how to clinch because he knew he would have to to survive
How many boxers have we seen that simply dont know how to clinch or hold when they get in trouble?
Clinching might not be very fan pleasing, but its an often overlooked attribute
I never said it was a real fight. it was some sparring on TV.
Tyson's punch resistance is probably worst than Price's at this point...
OK, then why mentioning that he was unable to knock RJJ out?
Anyhow, you might be right in regard to punch resistance. But, as I said, we're just hypothesizing an old Tyson vs second/third level heavyweights. Fantasies...
So you are another person who thinks that last Saturday's fight was real? I can't believe how many there are. It was choreography from beginning to end. And you told another guy that people DKSAB when you can't separate a real fight from an exhibition?
In regard to the initial chunk of your post, Tyson vs McBride and Williams was at his all-time worst as far as addictions are concerned, and could not care less about training and fighting if not to repay debts. Absurdly, he is in better shape now than he was then. I am not saying he would win for sure vs Price or Szpilka and the likes on the same level, but with a rigid training regime and a couple of softer fights before, he would definitely stand a chance. And, given Price's chin, yes - I'd bet on Tyson to knock Pricey out. One punch would be enough.

2005 so 15 years algo Tyson lost twice in a row by KO to Kevin McBride and Danny Williams (who now has a record of 54-29).
He has not gotten better since then.
He just fought a former career supermiddleweight who was 50+ himself and so looked wonderfull, doesn't mean he will do great versus young big heavyweights, even goofy a77 ones like Price, Price is 9 inches taller than Mike and 20+ years younger.
Price has a suspect jaw but Mike can't even drop a 50 years old "yall musta forgot".

Criminal, Wilder would destroy him. So would most active top 50 heavyweights, age shouldn't be ignored and the fact if a guy like McBride can beat him when he was still young what would happen now?
Exactly, Mike could not beat top 50 HW 15 years ago since he lost to Williams and Mcbride.
Not happening now, he just drew with a smaller guy who was stopped by Danny Green and Enzo Mac years ago.
Most fans on this forum have amnesia and DKSAB.
That goes without saying.
Would someone bet against Mike if opposed to, say, David Price or Artur Szpilka?
I would.

Yea, I was just being sarcastic as I see lots of Tyson fanboys and casuals sharing the same sentiments that Mike should come back full-time and beat the top heavyweights today, it's ridiculous.
Then make Wilder vs Tyson happen!

Tyson might beat 1300 of those 1400 heavyweights but he would lose to the other 100. He is still just a shell of his prime self. I will only watch him when it's free. If I want to see more of Tyson I will watch replays of Tyson fighting in his prime.
I doubt Mike could even get at Prices jaw. Back in the day his size was offset by his insane explosive speed and power, plus high level strength and durability. He is not a raging pitbull anymore, hes a 54 year old man with massively diminished physical abilities. Hes not as fast, not as strong, cant hit as hard and probably wouldnt be able to weather what a decent active HW in their 20s/30s could throw at him for very long. Age sucks, thats life.
Again, the last sentence you wrote is the bitter truth, my friend.
