The last few years all of Jacobs fights have looked like glorified sparring matches. It seems he doesn't have a 2nd gear like he did when he fought Caleb Traux, Quillian and Sergio Mora.
I'm not totally sure if its that, or he's WEIGHT DRAINED (a possibility), as he has talked about how hard it is to make 160 pounds.
Sometimes when making weight is hard, your camp because a weight loss camp and not a fight camp and your drained and weak.
I recall Erik Morales saying that all he ate was lettuce and tomatoes when he was trying to make 126 or 130.
Is Danny Jacobs shot or does he need to move to 168?

His last two fights against Chavez and Rosado have been at 168
Naw! Nothing a new trainer can't fix
Lets not act like he got blown away he landed some Bombs that probably would've hurt and stopped most of these other Heavyweights who don't have anything close to the Chin that Joyce has
I'm F^cking Sick and tired of guys like Spence Fearon and Johnny Nelson as well as fans talking about how "Fighters Are Done" STFU! How is he done after 1 Defeat? Then we wonder why these fighters are so reluctant to step up competition and would rather play it safe and keep making good money beating on bums rather than make a little more to take major risk
DDD needs him a trainer! Martin Bowers complete failed him during this fight and did not tell him anything in that Corner to help him. It was like a young fighter trying to figure things out on his own and just wasn't experience and capable to make adjustments.
He got some money and lost the fire it looks like. I dont think he is shot I just dont think he wants it bad enough anymore. He should have rolled through Gabe lets be honest.
I agree with you on this

He's not shot. He's just not hungry any more. He kinda' peaked out, got rich and now what?

Some fighters are done by 33. Also, Jacobs survived a life and death battle with Cancer, which may have had an effect of his odometer. well enough put add in the fact jacobs seems to mentally always fight up to opposition level yet when opposition is actually top level well jacobs just is slightly short of canelo and ggg . put him vs not top 3 he wins.
He is not hungry anymore. I kinda thought that he would turn into more of a fearless fighter after beating cancer. But after making millions, he wants to play it safe now.
It looks like he’s just been going through the motions in his past couple of fights.
Jacobs is a boring fighter now.. everytime i watch this guy fight I miss Pirog even more.
I believe his fight against Rosado was at 168. I think it's a combination of age and effort. Jacobs wasn't fighting inspiring competition. He even said in the post fight interview he didn't give 100% effort in camp or the fight. As a professional, that's unacceptable and I thought he was better than that. Also, he is 33 or 34. He seemed extremely stiff and slow on his feet.

cant really tell from this last fight. He wasnt even trying. its not like he was trying and couldnt pull the trigger. he didnt even give us enough punch attempts to show us anything. it was like a sparring match.
Also OP this fight was at 168 and so was his fight with useless chavez jr. so he isnt weight drained now
To me, it seems like a lack of motivation from previous big paydays and as some have stated, becoming "hollywood" with some high maintenance hoe who will always suck the will to live or at least achieve greatness out of you...
