Bigger, better fundamentals, stronger, hits harder, better chin.
What advantages does Crawford have? Maybe fresher, maybe - he had about 250 or more amateur fights and is no spring chicken himself.
Tony Weeks - huge advantage.
Edge in stamina but tbf we've never seen him truly pushed at a pace.
I don't buy the eye test. I can't for my life see a P4P #1 talent. Just a very good boxer who seems to do just about everything well but nothing great.
I look at Brook - even if he is past it as presumed. Seconds I need & I can say yh great jab, great distance control, great straight right hand, great timing.
I can't say that about Crawford. He's just very good, nothing blows me away about him.
Brooks seen switch-hitters, a Dime a dozen coming out that gym. He's a switch-hitter himself and a better one than Crawford.
I see holes, a lot of bad habits in particular when he turns southpaw I expect a better fighter to take advantage of.
He turns southpaw he starts pulling straight back almost everytime he's done throwing.
He circles anti-clockwise & when pressured he lazily probes with the jab and brings his chin up everytime.
Brook hooks off the jab superbly & I can see that leaping uppercut working a treat also.
If I am wrong I will hold my hands up but I'm not buying the hype, odds or mismatch calls. I think Brook gives him absolute hell.
If I am totally honest regarding Kavalauskus I don't think he is very good at all. Hes just being talked up for the mean time until he faces another live body.
Its a case of Buds opponents have all been destroyed since apart from him. Before him it was Indongo.
He (Kava) wouldn't beat Crawford, Brook, Spence, Garcia, Manny, Porter, Thurman, Ugas, Ortiz, Boots or any top WW
Mikey would no doubt lay him out also.
I think he will fall short at the top level like he did a good 20 odd times in the amateurs. He just isn't elite or even true world class.
A high end Euro level/fringe contender type.
I think Brook will give him a harder fight than people will imagine because of the losses he's taken. Upon further examination of those loses however, you saw him put up a noble fight against a dramatically larger in the ring, GGG. He then put up a winning fight in the first half against Spence until the damage over took him. Still, he went to the 11th...
I don't think Crawford is going to just bull doze right over Brook and it would be dumb to think he can. That would be a careless thing to do and Brook still has pop. Someone else mentioned, Crawford isn't young himself anymore. It's hard to imagine he's already heading out of his prime years and he hasn't really got a truly significant win on his resume.
I'm rooting for Brook.
Why, because he begged for the fight,
and when it was offered, he didn't scream,
"Waaah, it's a lowball offer, waaahh!!!"
Unlike some greedy mthrfkrs out there.
They pretend they want the fight and when it's
offered they start acting like they're the A side...
Kills me with these greedy bastards.
Were u the only other guy on here that picked brook to beat porter dan? Had money on that too but not touching the underdog this time. Brook is done, the weight, motivation, trainer etc all points to a cash out
He struggled with the male stripper ffs
i was telling everyone.
Brook would need the star treatment to have a shot in peak condition...the ref allowing him to clinch all night...but we already know what happens when he was the B-side against Spence. If he catches Crawford early and takes his time once Crawford tries to get back to him, he can make it close.
Crawford is not extraordinary in a lot of ways and has eaten the cleanest shots from B-fighters off any p4p entrants...but he has a great mentality and coupling with the star treatment he'll get in the clinch, he will probably outwork Brook inside and hold his own outside...especially if Brook is ready to cash out.....the listed heights are also misleading.....they always list Crawford as the smaller man but he looks as big as the fake 5'9 guys...and healthier at the weight...
I understand the concerns regarding Brook but I think we have to note how unproven Crawford is. The odd worrying moment hes had he's bounced back and fought through adversity so props but hes not had to against a really good or/& big opponent.
I have more questions about how Crawford will deal with what Brook does than vice versa.
How will Crawford deal with that jab? and the strength of Brook. Someone who is ambidextrous.
Kavalauskas (sp) looks a strong mf but he isn't physically strong. Brook is & for large parts was manhandling a little pitbull in Porter, pushing him & walking him back. Granted Crawford is a better inside fighter than Porter and doesn't smother his own work but to me it was very impressive how he easily dealt with Porters physicality.
I'm excited for this one.
Brook gave Porter a hard time SIX years ago, SIX. Your theory of him beating Crawford may have held water then, but this is now and post two brutal fights against Golovkin and Spence. We'll likely see a shadow of Kell that gradually fades away with each passing round.
See some of your points Dan but surely we must consider that Brook hasn’t beaten a good top level guy since 2014?
Brook looked shocking against Zerefa a few fights ago
WORD? was thinking of betting on Brook actually its like a 9 to 1 odds. So $100 on Brook will get you back like a G!
... people who put money on a fighter usually don't talk...
Same here.
I'm rooting for Brook here.
Same, i respect Crawford's skills but he's one boring mofo and i've always liked Brook, i was rooting for him to KTFO Khan lol.

If you really believed this you would put a bet on it and show us. You get 8 times return betting on Brook.
You’re just picking the underdog so that you could look like a genius if it did come true.
I can actually see it being quite a boring fight.
Brook generally fights from distance and catches people coming in, Bud will
probably Be cautious of getting timed on the way in because Kell has great timing.
Also Crawfords switch hitting isn’t going to bother Brook because he is from the Ingle gym and they all fight at way. so he’s been sparring switch hitters since he was a little kid. He can switch hit too, although rarely does.
I think it might be a pretty dull and cautious affair.
christ, i thought the pubs and bars had been closed?! brook is completely shot to ****, looked awful against that D level fighter, snap in punches completely gone, eye sockets have been broke and he cant make the weight safely, he says this himself over and over again then drains himself down for a payday. if he couldnt cope with it a few years ago its going to be even harder now. there is no way team crawford would have picked him if they thought he had anything left. to me 8/1 is too narrow, he has absolutely no chance whatsoever and will be done by the half way point.
You make some valid points but I'm not seeing the snap gone off his punches at all more he's been fighting really big guys who can take his power better. Some of them wouldn't look out of place at MW.
His last opponent wasn't upto much and I did feel Brook looked a bit rusty/disinterested but he knocked him out with a jab. I don't think you're doing that if you lack the snap.
I always felt Brook was too big for WW but maybe a little too small for 154 and 150/151 if there was such a thing would be perfect for him.
