Boxing makes me so sick with this constant 'marinating' and waiting out fights!!!

Please man you don't know what that fight looks like in 2009-2010 because Floyd didn't want nobody to know. If he did he would have made the fight and beat the prime Manny who stopped Hatton and Cotto. No risk, high reward fights is all Floyd was looking for. No surprise he's digressed to Japanese kickboxers. I hope these boys go ahead and fight each other now while they are in their primes, so we can know who's who. Please don't do like Floyd and overmarinate fights with the best guys, then whine about nobody giving him credit for a guy whos pushing 40, and already is raked thru the coals. You’re not really a boxing fan. You’re almost strictly a Manny fan so I understand why you don’t get it. Manny was better but Floyd was better too. The gap between them was greater. Again you missed the point. We all want them to fight when they are there best selves. Don’t really want to talk about Floyd or manny.

I see what you're saying, but I do think that much of the suspense was drained from the Floyd/Pacquiao fight by the time they got it together. Fights like Joshua/Wilder and Spence/Crawford will never be quite what they ought to have been imho. That fight was always going to look like that if you are really honest. Don’t disagree but see my response to Split Second. I think a truly big fight doesn’t go stale. The fights that go stale are fights like gamboa/lopez. Tyson/Holyfield, Floyd/manny never went stale. Very fair point. From my perspective, it’s the same number of fights so it’s not marinating as much as people suggest. The issue is the infrequency with which pros fight nowadays. That is done to try and lengthen careers as much as possible. I get that, but for me you then have to strike while the iron's hot when it comes to the big fights, otherwise they go stale.

Wtf? As boxing fans you want the guys at their best. The number’s ($) is good for the fighter’s. But the numbers (viewers) also hurts if it’s a ****show. We agree. The question is when are guys at their best? Take LW. Are Teo and Haney at their best right now? No they are not. Yet posters are calling for them to fight next. If both have a couple more fights they will be 24 and 22 and better versions of themselves. The profit turned is also good for the fans because the more is made the more a network has to invest in other fights. Yes it hurts if it’s a bad fight but that could happen at any time. Also, a lot of times the fans of the loser just use “ they should’ve fought earlier” as an excuse for the guy they liked losing. Truth is if they fought earlier the same outcome is likely, but some guys are not adult enough to admit it.

Say what you want about the UFC but they make the best fights happen and the ones that the fans ACTUALLY want. I myself have been watching a ton of UFC fights recently because they're actually entertaining without the possibility of you the fan or the fighters being screwed by the ref or promotion. 119-111 Lopez over Lomachenko did it for me. Boxing deserves nothing with how it presents itself to the public in a landscape filled with other sports. If I want to watch a promotion choose their favorites and create false narratives ill just stick to WWE because at least they know that what they're doing is fake.

Because, if he can get it, he wants Ryan Garcia next. Beef there and they can make lots of money together. If Ryan Garcia beats Luke Campbell, then Davis-Garcia is a solid fight.
