If Tank was that good he'd be the 135lbs champ instead of Lopez. Instead he's going to ignore that Lopez is younger than him with less fights and champion already because he didn't fear losing his 0. Lopez, Haney, and Garcia are all younger than him and hunting belts at 135.
To me he looks to be a solid top ten P4P guy. It is mainly via the eye test though and he needs to fight a top Lightweight to back it up as we all know he will not be staying at Jr. Lightweight.
If he were from anywhere but America he might be P4P #1, but since he is American he is gonna have to go bring back the moon and stars just to crack the top 10 list.
If his name were Gervontovich Davischenko there would be a 10 threads about him as the best in the world and then 5 about him beating Floyd head to head or Floyd ducking him.
So you’ve gone full ******ddd now smh
That’s a joke of a list.
But I guess you guys just act like the real p4p best doesn’t exist huh.
That’s the problem with this forum.
My list. Screw P4P.
Why not?
He's 24-0, 23 KOs.
I just want to see him in against guys who have a shot against him. I haven't been impressed by a win of his since Pedraza.
I wouldn’t put him in the top 10 p4p just yet.
If he weren’t American more people would have him ranked top 10 that is for sure.

Based off the eye test, easily in the top 10. Based off strength of resume, Pedraza and Santa Cruz are ok opponents, but he needs one more win against a top flight fighter before he'll be put there. I think he will stay at 130 for now, Tank really is a 130lber I would love to see him fight Berchelt or the winner of Herring/Stevenson in a unification, that is all his resume is missing.
Davis has been a good fighter for a while now. We just don't know how good yet as he has not fought a truly skilled boxer or perceived top opponent since Pedraza.
I don't consider the Santa Cruz victory to he anything too significant. Goong in I always felt Santa Cruz was going to be majorly outgunned in that fight.
if he ever fights anyone in the top 3 in his division then maybe
enough of the cherry picking fights
135 is loaded with talent, it's time to fight someone who's in your division and ranked top 3
...and Crawford responded and beat the hell out of him. He adjusted, it’s what elite fighters do, just like Mayweather against Moseley.
But you can’t say he has no weaknesses, when that’s a clear weakness. I’m a big bud fan, but you have to be realistic. There’s a reason bud “came from nowhere” onto the scene. His amateur career wasn’t that decorated bc he took punishment. His improved a ton and is definitely top ten p4p but he has his limitations.
Common sense says no. Inoue is without a doubt above Davis.
Based on what?
Knocking out guys like Moloney? Or 37-year-old Nonito? Or 39-year-old Narvaez?
gervonta is 24-0 with 23 kos and is the WBA champion in two weight classes at the same time..if he isn't p4p you shouldn't be watching boxing
Loma would take his 130 title, and Lopez would take his 135 title.
It's easy to collect titles when you don't have to fight the best champions.
just boxing talk..I don't like fanboyism which is the current p4p list by espn and ring. real boxing fans know gervonta davis is 24-0 with 23 kos and the wba champ in two weight classes. p4p mens the best fighting the best. inoue and usyk are not fighting the best.
Agree to disagree, but for the record Usyk was not and is not in my top ten.
Davis is good, just outside of my top ten. Would love to see him in against Stevenson as I think that would be a great fight with Stevenson’s defense winning the night.
Enjoyed talking boxing with you, thanks for the debate.
