Gloves are checked before a fight.
But Wilder is claiming now that a cornerman tampered with Fury's glove either during or in-between rounds... hence the floppy glove, bloody cut ear, dent in head, etc.
Theoretically is this possible?
In front of countless officials, the ref, judges, cornernen, the other boxer, thousands of fans, millions watching on TV?
Also Hatton was taking the gumshield
The gloves are sent directly from the manufacture to the commission.
The fighters select the pair after the weigh in and then don’t see them again until their put on the fighter and both corners have someone to inspect them getting wrapped.
Almost impossible to do unless Wilder’s team was truly inept.
There’s an inspector in each corner watching for that ****, there’s no way he would have missed them take off fury’s glove, put something in it, re lace it, and re tape it in under a minute.
With corner oversight, cameras everywhere...
Theoretically anything is possible but I just can't see it.
Usually the most obvious explanation is the right one. Fury just beat him up.
If you go looking for something, then you'll find something. Some moment where the glove doesn't look right, or an injury that you can't explain.
There's no actual evidence here whatsoever - otherwise they'd have it. It's been 8 months and I'm sure his cronies have had access to all of the camera footage.
Waiting to hear what Nevada Commission says about this. Can you be banned for these kind of allegations?
