For only those living stateside, simple question. Will you guys be purchasing the PPV or no?
I'm going to be running these polls for the PPV fights and then compare them to the actual buys reported. Then we can see if there is any correlation between hardcore fans purchasing PPVs to the actual buys number.
Tank is a legit draw, these numbers don't surprise me. In fact, I actually expected this PPV to get in the 250-300k range. And maybe it gets there, but Tank is one of the few fighters in America that can do a 2M+ gate.
how Charlo's do ? ( sorry I've been outta boxing lately )
Considering it was on halloween and it was tanks 1st ppv not bad in this day and age.

Sources: The Gervonta Davis-Leo Santa Cruz Showtime PPV is expected to generate between 200,000 and 225,000 buys. Exceeded expectations. Good showing for Tank, who was making his PPV debut. With that viral KO, Davis should be able to build off it— Mike Coppinger (@MikeCoppinger) November 5, 2020
Will update if numbers change or other reporters have different numbers.
I will be making the same thread for Spence/DSG as well, and then we can see just how much hardcores better for the success of a PPV.

Stop kidding yourself. This fight easily does 500k homes.
500k homes? Absolutely not. The target will be 250-300k buys. That's a really good number if it hits that.

You could be right. I also think a lot of people are buying it. It'll be a good event for a Halloween weekend too. I don't know about 500K.
War Boxing!:boxing:
I think they should sticky your MEGA thread for the fight and all undercards as the RBR thread fight night. You put lots of work into it.
Santa Cruz is about to become the first Mexican 5 weight champ of course people will be buying. This is history.
Sounds like you're the only one though lmfao
I thought this ***** was free....I'm already spoiled by ESPN's free Loma fight.
Yeah, this is PPV. Lomachenko vs Lopez on regular ESPN was so dope. Glad it delivered in the ratings and overall most fans felt satisfied with the fight.
So I will take this as a no from you? Lol.
Yeah, I just have to watch the boxing live. Even if I feel the fight isn't PPV worthy. Finding out the result and watching it after is not the same for me. Boxing is my fave sport, and paying extra money toward it is just the way it is.
Yep, same with me. Just not the same watching the replays. I totally get some that just can't afford to purchase it or rather not spend money on the PPVs. But to me that's not really an issue so I don't have a problem shelling out money for these PPVs. There have been some rough purchases for sure, but it is what it is.
I clicked yes cause I do buy PPV most of the time. My problem is Halloween is my anniversary so I'm not sure the wife will wanna watch the fight with me Lol normally she does and I've turned her into a mild fan of the sport even though just roots for the underdog in all cases but it being my anniversary its doubtful I'll get to watch it live
You are like me then. I purchase all the PPVs as well. There isn't a PPV I can't talk myself into buying lol.
