They were different boxers, with different styles and different career paths. There are fighters who had longer amateur careers than Floyd and fighters who had shorter amateur careers. The fact remain though. It's a fact that Loma won those amateur titles, won a professional title with the least number of pro bouts, won titles in multiple divisions etc. just like it's also a fact that Floyd won titles in multiple divisions, retired undefeated etc.
Reporter should not ask Floyd about anything other than the tank/Leo fight. You know he’s gonna talk about himself.
Floyd was much too nice to Loma and Ward in this interview.
He should’ve spit fire at anyone that compared Loma to him and then called ward out for that draw scorecard.
Instead he was very mild and actually quite generous with his comments.
Lopez would have beat the hell out of Floyd at 135. But the reality is FLoyd would have ducked Lopez, too dangerous, too strong, too mentally tough, too high risk. Floyd would have handpicked a safe easy patsy.
Lopez would have busted fraudweather up bad. Just like he would do right now.
Do post for shock value or do you actually believe the incredibly dumb shyte you post?
It’s not about Floyd it’s about Tank.
Floyd has to make everything about himself it’s annoying. He’s 43 and retired his time is done.
On All Access he was trying to make it all about himself.
Interviewer: What's the time.
Floyd: At this point in time, I don't know. There are so many good fighters out there and I'm not going to take anything away from them.
But they each have a loss. How many of them dominated the sport of boxing for as long as I did. How many of them did my numbers.

Hahaha wtf?! Can't be serious..
One guy's an offensive fighter and the other is a defensive fighter. Loma spends more time in the pocket in one fight, than Floyd did in his whole career.
you obviously never followed Floyd career to make a post this stupid

That's clearly a lie. Apparently boxing is new to you.

WRONG. Terribly wrong.
"Once you fight 300 amateur fights you're basically a professional"
Spitting facts at all the cats pretending Loma came into the sport a green rookie
How many amateur fights are 12 rounds? A lot of experience is gained at the amateur level, but there’s a reason fighters build up to 12 rounds and gradually step up competition over several fights.

Not only that, he was in the World Series of boxing which is basically like professional fights that don’t go on the record, and actually fighting in that is a much higher standard than knocking out 15 bums at the start of a pro career like most fighters.
I believe that’s a big reason fighters who have come from the WSB progress quickly in the pro ranks, because they already fought at a decent standard in the WSB

Putting personal bias aside, the way Loma landed on Teo in rounds 8-11 tells me otherwise, especially if we are talking about Floyd circa 2001-2002. Teo doesn't move his head and Floyd has much longer reach than Loma does. Mayweather would potshot while Teo hunted for big counters all night.
