He knows that he's in over his dented head in fury 3. He just wants to fall back and smoke an ounce in the dark. Guarantee he's looking for a shot in supremacy at super cruiserweight!
all this silence.....I don't think he's afraid of a rematch, but i suspect he doesn't really know what he wants
fight again? retire? etc. etc.
Well I don’t think he’s scared of Fury or anyone. He probably is midway through getting back from the damage he took.
The dude was injured pretty badly from the sound of it. I mean according to his brother, they did an autopsy (Not sure what he meant by that) and found a dent in his head (Which would imply a fractured skull — a very serious, life-threatening injury to have).
His woman has probably made him soft 'I still remember? Moments before fighting Tyson Fury, he was laying on his woman like a toddler in the dressing room'.
I suppose that is life 'Some fighters are tamed more easily than others'.
Keith Thurman is also going through this phase.
Note: Maybe Wilder has realized now what he wants to focus on in life 'Which are his woman, and family' all the best to him etc.
He's been taking a course in costume design. We'll see him on Halloween.
Seriously, there's no explanation for his silence that could be a positive for Wilder.
He's either contemplating retirement, embarrassed beyond belief, or simply trying to avoid the rematch.
They've spent a decade trying to build this guy's media profile... if he had any designs on being a player in the division you'd think he would say something to keep his profile up.
Compare that to other fighters who have lost.
By the way, happy 35th birthday, Deontay. Feels like a good time for an announcement.
