I think so.
I was just thinking about this.
He's just beat the almost consensus P4P #1 or #2 fighter in the world to unify the titles at one of the historic divisions in 135.
Even if he just has an average career from here on out or decides to retire early, it seems to me that there's no way a guy who's pretty much the undisputed man at 135 after beating the guy most people thought was the best fighter on the planet could be left out.
Buddy McGirt and Arturo Gatti are in, so why not Teofimo already?
Zepeda fight would be tricky for Lopez but definitely a good test for him. Taylor may just be too much for him at this point. But guess what? The kid isn't going to say to any challenge and he will go after the winner of Taylor/Ramirez. Imagine him being undisputed in two weight classes at the age 24?? Unreal.
It’d be absolutely unheard of. I also think Taylor would be too much though. I think it’d be a great fight but I’d favour Josh in that matchup.
Yeah I think he goes 140. Lopez-Zepeda would be a good fight. Winner faces the winner of Taylor-Ramirez.

Ever heard of jermaine Taylor?
At 26 years old, he beat the number 1 p4p fighter for undisputed at middleweight.
Not a hall of famer.
Jermain Taylor fell off a cliff like Buster Douglass.
That's why I said retire or have an average career from here on out.
Average meaning, wins 1 or 2 more titles, wins some, loses some.
If Taylor just beats Pavlik & say beats Froch, he probably would be in.
But yes, if he falls off a cliff and literally does nothing ever again, he's not in.
I wouldn't mind a rematch but that's not something I'm clamoring for. If we can get Lopez vs Garcia or Davis, I'd like that more. Something different. It seems like Lopez will move up to 140 though.

Yeah it’s very, very hard to turn a fight on it’s head especially of you’re a technical fighter and aren’t accustomed to pressing forward looking to force the action.
That’s why I have so much respect for Andre Ward as a fighter. I scored the first fight 114-113 to Kovalev but the way he bit down on his gum shield and turned that fight around was so impressive.
Would you be interested in a rematch? I do think Loma could perform much better but he will have to take more risks so Lopez will have a much better chance of catching, hurting or even stopping him.

I think a lot of people were in the same camp as you in that Lopez was setting himself for a schooling. But they legit were not as impressed with Lomachenko as everyone else. I've always said but Mikey and Lopez both were bad match ups for Lomachenko...In different ways but those two guys wouldn't let Lomachenko use all his angles and had power to get his respect.
But Lomachenko to his credit did not go down without a fight. He showed his greatness making that late charge, just was too little too late. You pretty much have to fight a perfect fight to win after getting in that big of a deficit.

I honestly thought he was setting himself up for a huge fall, I’m not keen on the dad and felt he was giving Teofimo false confidence and putting too much pressure on him. However, he talked the talk and walked the walk. Full credit to him...

I’d say no but this is NSB. Much crazier things have been posted.
Anyone remember in 2017 when Loma beat Marriaga and that led people to post he’d beat Floyd in that thread?
If beating Marriaga At 130 means you can beat Floyd at 135, then is it wrong to post that beating Loma makes you a hof’er?
I'm not a gambler but I would have recommended this for those that do lol.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was in one of your threads.
Lopez just has a crazy self-belief. He really thought Lomachenko was not on his level at the age of 21. He's different man lol.

It was in one of my threads I think. I definitely remember you saying it. Good call man, did you wager any money on it?

hes an all time great at hitting air, gloves and arms
Stop it already. Every longtime poster here remembers you as the proven racist with an anti American agenda. I thought Loma would win too but he didn’t.
I don't know if you remember, but on a bold prediction thread, I said Lopez will beat Lomachenko. I want to say it was from 2019, I don't really recall. But I've been high on Lopez for a while and thought he matched up well with Lomachenko. He's young but that didn't prevent him from CHASING a match up against Lomachenko. He's in store for a hell of a career. Will take some losses in the process, but who cares.

Yeah exactly, he’s definitely on the fast track but he ain’t there yet. I’m fully on the Lopez train now, I think he’s gonna be a great, great fighter.
