At the end of the day, take Loma out of the equation and ask yourself whether you want your favorite fighter competing in his most natural weight class for his age and build or above/below it - chances are most people would say the former if there is no bias. But otherwise, I agree, Loma can still compete at 135 and there's really not pressure to go down in weight, he has enough skills and tricks to hold his own against anyone at 135.

IMO there can't be a rematch. Lopez is never going to fight at 135 again and Loma can't follow him up to 142. No rematch! Teofirmo Lopez ends up a WW; if the timing is right Spence/Garcia/Crawford are his big paydays down the road.

Nice underlying conspiracy there. I had Loma by blowout but Lopez came to fight rip those belts from him. Loma quickly figured that the young lion didn't come to lay down but to conquer. It's not that deep, Loma could very well win a rematch but for now he was soundly beaten by Lopez.

If he actually put on some pressure and did something in the first half of the fight, took some risks, even if it didn't work out and he got KO'd, how could you truly be a fan of someone and not respect them or watch them again if they actually tried their best and gave it their all? I can see being disappointed in this performance for a multitude of reasons, but if Lomachenko ran it back and left everything in the ring how could you not watch him again? Assuming he wouldn't retire etc. ... he took those risks in the second half and he was on the verge of being KOd in the 12th... Teo is a huge counter puncher and much more powerful than Loma...

Well his actions say hes s 2x Olympics champion and a 3division champion that almost unified the Division. So going off his past record yer he dont seem like the one to throw a fight. Why should Loma fight guys that are 1-2 weight classes above him after rehydrating, guys that has a big size and reach advantage. Loma doesn't even rehydrate after weigh in's at 135, it's unheard of. I wanna see him at his best. Lopez will soon move up to 140, he is already struggling to make 135. Then Loma never should have moved up to 135 only to fail so spectacularly and then immediately give up. Now that he started the challenge, he needs to complete it successfully otherwise he should just retire. Nah man, nah. IMO, he doesn't give a ****. If he gave a **** about winning or losing boxing matches, would he have performed like that? And bet on himself to win by KO past the tenth? IMO, it was the same as Canelo vs Kovalev. They sparred a practice fight. Maybe they rehearsed it before hand, I don't really know how it would work.
