Weigh just took place a few minutes ago. Loma won the face off. Lopez turned away first in the stare down and definitely looked the most nervous out of the two. Understandable because he's so young and going against a P4P fighter.
Loma would glance left after answering questions about his future and glance left after answering questions about his past. Lopez’ jaw muscles tightened whenever he was asked a question which contained an even number of words. This tells me Loma will get caught by a fight ending left hook at the 1:34 mark of the 6th round.
You are drunk my friend. You shall see the schooling start around 6. Lol
That's interesting actually. And a coincidence.. I saw the weigh in on video but couldn't see their feet at all. The "little toe" remark was only my kidding..
I believe every boxer is a bit nervous BEFORE the fight starts, and forgets about it when the bell rings. he has to concentrate on what's in front of him. I recall I was always nervous, and I very vividly remember the one time only, I was perfectly calm and hardly concerned whilst waiting for the bell to ring. And I was fighting the Army champion. I was just 16 and small, he was lanky. My trainer, the famous Frankie Kerr, told me to rush him and give everything I had for the first 30 secs, which I did. When the fight was over, Frankie told me that I'd KOd him with a left hook and woke him up again when he was dropping, with an uppercut. My brother said the same. I was too busy bashing away to see it. It became quite a fight after.. .
Anyway, I expect Lopez to settle down pretty quickly and make it a good fight, whoever wins will deserve to. He's a bit flatfooted, but at the same time he saves energy, and Lomachenko expends loads of it. He must move at least 4-5 times as far in distance as any of his opponents. That he can hold his breath under water for 4.5 minutes likely has a lot to do with it. That's a hell of a long time. I used to do just on 4 mins but NOT under water. no way. He must have lungs like balloons.
I boxed bro. Jitters leave after the first few punches are over. I used to want to feel power from my opponents then id do my thing accordingly.
I don't know, I don't think I totally agree with all that. I think Mikey was the fight to make but that's gone. I don't think I totally blame either fighter for that not happening but more likely politics killed that fight. Mikey and Bob working together just doesn't seem too realistic to me.
140 and the top guys at 140 seems like a bridge too far. Lomachenko is a better fighter than Taylor but natural size might just make that a bridge too far imo. I wouldn't mind seeing Chon Zepeda move back down to 135 for Loma. Berchelt move up to 135. Tank would be good as well. I don't think that Haney fight is happening.
I agree about the Berchelt fight. He already looks extremely large for his weight class.
On a side note, I could see Loma getting undisputed at LW and moving back to 130 and cleaning up some of the fresh talent there. He's just not big enough for JWW imo. But truthfully he didn't look that much smaller than Lopez, its just the reach where he falls short.
During the final presser any time Teo had to look at Loma or answer a question he started tapping his feet. Could just be nervous energy.

I thought I saw a little twitch on someone's toe, can't recall whom. This could be important.

Your post is possibly the dumbest post this whole year. Floyd turned pro at 19 at 126. Lomo turned pro at 26 and already moved up 3 weight classes in 15 fights and won 3 titles in 3 weight classes faster than any other fighter in the sport. Floyd in his first 15 fights was still fighting cab drivers at 126. He didn't move up to 147 until his 36th fight. You should pick a new sport to follow.
Lomachenko fans like you are responsible for his lackluster fights. Go hide somewhere, noob.
Exactly, and let me really tell you why I'm considered the biggest Loma hater.:lol1:
I see no ambition from him, for his legacy, beyond 135.
If he's good as we say he is, he should have gone beyond his comfort zone. He could fight Crawford himself and solidify your claim as the best fighter in the world.
Floyd wanted to fight both Mosley and De La Hoya since he was at 130 or 135, can't remember. 135 Marquez fought a welter Floyd.
He could have fought many good fighters between 140 and 147. Prograis even would have been good, Mikey? Even now he can fuck that UK bum Taylor up, if he beats Lopez.
I don't see the ambition and balls. I raise the questions.

His fans say he has no challenges at 135, which I totally disagree. If not, then find greener, more challenging pastures by moving up, like others have done before you. Zepeda had a good fight last time, but he's not it.
Anyway, enjoy the fight tomorrow.
You too, man.

People never want to admit when their fighters struggle. I think we've all been there. The idea that people really believe Loma isn't acclimated to the weight by now is crazy to me.

Those are the big excuses Loma fans use, even the good ones. I'm guilty of the Loma is small, too, because I helped create that myth when I was a big Loma fan, to justify his 135 struggles.
Loma looks the more compact and solid at the weight, more than Lopez. Lopez looks a little soft, because of his body type. It doesn't mean much.
Loma is angry and that's what I like. This will be a war for as long as it lasts.

Teo is the bigger guy. When they face off, look at the difference in their frames. Teo is wider and he will fill out post weigh in. He has the frame to carry more weight comfortably although the size difference isn't as drastic as people were making it seem.
Reasonable, but neither had a pound to spare. Both on the dot.
We don't have height divisions. They are the same weight, on peak. If both make the weight, they can show up as Andre The Giant tomorrow.
I guess we won't hear the Loma is a featherweight or a small lightweight crap anymore. As I've been saying they are the same size. Lopez isn't a big lightweight either. No more excuses.

I agree. These guys are the same size. I never got the "Loma is old and small" bullshit.
