You know other than Ortiz 1 and 2 his entire reign as champ as completely laughable and when he ran into someone like Fury, his one dimensional style was quickly figured out and dismantled in both of their fights. Wilder vs AJ and Wilder vs Klitschko are two matchups that I feel like he should’ve taken because maybe fighting them early in his reign would’ve caused him to evolve into a better fighter instead of what did happen. Even losing to them is better than fighting bums and not changing anything for years.
He would never be a world champ than. remember his scary moments fighting Scorniers.
I guess he is doing OK despite a big loss to Fury. He had two huge Fury fights at least.
He never trained to box properly. He never learned any boxing fundamentals lol. Watch the Antonio Tarver interview after Wilder got whooped by Fury. He summed it up best
I saw that.... It was good to see someone keep it a buck on Wilder
No, when you watch his fights in the Olympics he was actually technically better and even his fights before the Ortiz 1 fight he was actually letting his hands go but started falling in love with his power and he stopped throwing combinations!
This right here.... I think he got stubborn and over confident. Let's not forget he actually won boxing rounds vs Stiverne
If he'd learned better skills he might have become an average boxer.
Instead they took an extreme strength, focused on it, and took him to a 5 year title reign.
I don't think you can knock the way he was brought along. Very deliberate, very calculated, not at all credible, but that's the game. Whoever was driving that career did a phenomenal job.
Wilder is a hw and in great shape he can realistically fight for another 6-8 years he just needs someone to develop the left hand for him and the power never leaves he can still be a champion for years to come.

Jeez, every day with the endless Wilder threads.
Look, the guy is what he is, a guy with basketball level athleticism and an insane right hand.
He was always gonna be that to some extent.
The only thing that stunted his growth was him falling in love with his right hand so he stopped trying to develop his jab and other tools.
But again, with his athleticism and right hand, he KO's just about anybody not named Fury, especially if he's not carrying all that weight he was carrying in the 2nd fight.
He shouldn't fight above 220lbs.

Not necessarily.
You learn in the ring but you learn far more in the gym. He started off on the wrong foot and that's that. He can improve but he will never just erase who he is and become something entirely different. Your first few years boxing are pretty important imo.
