I'm Wilder's biggest fan but he needs to forget a Fury fight.
Fight some green guys with less experience.
Fight a few more cans & build your confidence back up.
And let some of the old legends talk to you & teach you.
He's in the twilight of his career.
Cash out, get out, and ride out.
The thread title says Wilder vs Fury Off.
That doesn't sound like an opinion.
Maybe one of the mods will consolidate these. I too was annoyed, there's like three or four Wilder-Fury III canceled threads none of which provide anything but bull****.
Thanks guys, locking this up.
Gave TS or others time to add a reliable source.
Are you posting false news?
I don't have a factual article that confirms the cancelation.
I'm just going off of circulating boxinh talk/rumors.
Just thought I would get some opinions from my dudes on here.
Wilder needs to call it off... He won't look bad and it's hella convenient.
But he has making bone head moves..... And thinks with his heart not his head
He’s not posting any news he’s giving his objectivity. Surely you are smarter then even this ? Ha

If Tyson Fury wants this fight 'It gets made' IF he really wants it.
Fury is contractually obliged to fight Wilder. It wouldn't even be a conversation if that wasn't the case.
It's Wilder who can make this fight. He's the one with the rematch clause.
And it looks like he'd rather not bother if he can't get the big payday for it.
Sounds to me like a guy looking for one last payment, rather than a guy who wants to reclaim his belt and reign as champion again.
If they move on I don’t think Wilder is ever in this position again.
He’s 35, has no title and currently has no path to a title shot.
Even if he takes some easy fights then he’s still at the mercy of what happens with AJ and Fury.
If those guys make it happen it’s probably not for another 12 months so fans can be there unless the Saudi’s put up a huge fee.
Then you’re talking about 2-3 fights between them unless Fury retires.
At that point Wilder is pushing 40 and hasn’t been in the title picture for years.
Obviously we would rather see Fury-Wilder III however what is Tyson supposed to do? Wait around years for Wilder? According to the PBC podcast Wilder hasn't even done any training yet.
Fury needs to move on, he's already beaten Wilder twice anyway.
If Tyson Fury wants this fight 'It gets made' IF he really wants it.
Frank Warren & Tyson Fury have both been the people saying that this fight is off 'Not anyone from Wilder's camp'.
And do you really think Fury is facing Joshua next? Fury would rather play about in the WWE, and then face some no mark heavyweight.
By gypsy rules? Tyson Fury technically has not beaten Deontay Wilder 'But he is walking around as if he beat Wilder into submission, walking around as if he sparked out a fellow elite level heavyweight' that did not happen.
It was not the worst beat down in history, and Wilder was still fighting back on his feet at the time of the stoppage 'If Wilder was some prospect being saved for another day? Then fair enough, maybe then the fight stoppage was warranted. But Wilder is not some prospect 'He was the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world'.
Fighters know what they sign up for 'Let the violence play out'. If anybody has a issue with this? Go and participate in another sport, it is as simple as that.
It's a good thing only if it paves the way for Fury-Joshua to be made faster - that's the one fight that everyone wants to see.
If that's not the case, eh, it's not great honestly. Fury would be a huge favourite to win the 3rd fight but, the first two were both entertaining enough that I would have wanted to see it anyway. If Fury's next opponent isn't Joshua then there's nobody else that I'd really want to see challenge him more than Wilder.

If Wilder loses again to Fury that will end his career, he isn’t the youngest either.
Pay Floyd, learn the basics of boxing, fight some tin cans, and rematch Fury in 2 years time as his retirement fight.
So Tyson Fury facing some no mark in December is good for boxing? Shut up.
People need to be honest with themselves. Yes, Tyson Fury won the second fight with Wilder 'But there was a element of controversy surrounding the stoppage'.
I can understand why the fight was stopped 'But the fact of the matter is? Deontay Wilder was still fighting back at the time of the stoppage.
It was not a 100% conclusive win, to end the Wilder vs Fury Saga 'There needs to be a 3rd fight'.

Anyone who thinks that was a controversial stoppage dksab.
I know Wilder didn't like it, but that's a mute point when you are getting your ass beat like he was.
Outside of the agreed to contract there is 0 reason for another fight next.
Was it really a horrific beating? Be honest with yourself.
Was Deontay Wilder completely defenseless? No.
In bare knuckle street fighting 'The world where the Fury's come from, the only way you lose a fight is by telling the referee 'You do not want to continue'. Deontay Wilder did not show any signs, that he did not want to continue fighting 'He was still fighting back, when the fight was stopped etc'.
It was not the worst one sided beat down in history, there have been more one sided fights that have been allowed to continue 'I can remember back to Pauli Malignaggi vs Mugel Cotto, Malignaggi was allowed to continue while being beat down by a known destroyer in Miguel Cotto' He lost that fight, but he held on to his dignity.
Boxing is a violent sport, the fighters know what they are getting themselves in for 'If a man is still fighting back? Let the violence play out'.
I have discredited Deontay Wilder many times on here, for his lack of skill and creativity inside of the ring. But there is one thing I will not discredit him for 'And that is his courage and willingness to fight'. Since Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder II, the boxing world and supporters have been discrediting his willingness to fight.
Every single person on this thread, on this forum 'Who try's to project the perception that this fight was one of the most horrific one sided beat downs in history 'That had people screaming and crying for the fight to be stopped? Everyone single one of you people are full of ***** on this subject.
Eff Pandas, I am not making this personal 'I am just being straight with you. The same with everyone else on this thread and forum also trying to peddle the same perception, it is complete and utter nonsense.
There needs to be a third fight.
By Gypsy rules, Tyson Fury knows deep down that he did not beat Deontay Wilder into submission.
Deontay Wilder is not some prospect that needs protecting, he was the WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world.
If I was Wilder, I would take the fight, even if you lose again might as well Cash Out and get the most money possible :dunno:
He about to be 35 years old here in a couple of Weeks, doesn't really have time to "Rebuild" and no this late in his career he is not going to all of a sudden become a better boxer
If Both can squeeze in a Soft Touch Pandemic Stay Busy Fight then go ahead and do that then have a quick turn around and get the Rematch done with early 2021
If it is a way for Fury to move on to AJ then possible get back to Wilder later then I would be OK with that as well
This sport doesn't wait for ANYBODY! The Show must go on!

Deontay Wilder was losing the fight against Fury, and also taking a beating 'But he had not given up'.
I think the 3rd fight is warranted 'I have zero idea, why people are trying to get this fight out of the way'.
Tyson Fury if he does not fight Wilder ? 'Will want to face some no mark fighter'.
Fury needs to make a defense at elite level, against another elite level fighter etc.

Third fight never made sense for Fury.
Third fight only makes sense for Wilder if it's a cash out fight, with the very slim possibility of a win that extends his career into one more big fight.
If Wilder genuinely has designs on coming back then he should take an easy can next, build into a decent fighter (a Whyte, Parker, Ruiz even as low as Chisora type). With a few knockouts he'll be ready and the hype will build again very quickly. Not sure if he has time for that kind of campaign.
Fury walking away gives us a chance of seeing the fight we want in 2021. Though I still doubt we'll see it.
I’ve never thought Wilder wanted the third fight.
Initially the rematch had to take place by August, that was the clause deadline, but it got put back until the end of the year due to covid. I thought Wilder was going to fake an injury or surgery to get out of the August deadline and not take the rematch, but now he can use the Covid situation to probably get out of it.
It saves them coming out and saying I don’t want to take the fight and save face a little bit.
The problem for Wilder is this puts him out of the title picture for a while or for good. Is he really going to be motivated to fight lesser guys in non title fights for significantly less money again?
In a way it kind of makes no sense for him to avoid the fight at this age, because he might never get another big fight like this. Maybe he just doesn’t want to fight, but I imagine his team would be pushing for the last payday.
The fight not happening probably doesn’t change the landscape much in the division. Fury would win the third fight. The general feeling was AJ and Fury get their next fights out the way and then try to make that fight. So nothing really changes.
