Completely False!

Let's just say I personally would be looking for a more reliable source.
Thank you.

Wilder and his team never wanted the rematch. Fury ruined him.
Fury vs AJ has to happen now!!
Couldn't be furthest from the truth. Wilder can't wait to get his hands on Fury. And Fury is fighting him next. With or without fans.
He ruined him?
Because Wilder lost for the 1st time in his career?
You are a funny little boy
He didn’t just beat him, he bullied him, out classed him and stole his sole
Why does this information just suddenly come out of the blue? If there was a expiration date, PEOPLE would of known about this months and months ago 'Frank Warren would of mentioned it'.
There is always an expiration date as the fight can't be put off forever. I'm curious though if Wilder accepted step aside money that precipitated this announcement (if it is legitimate). Good move if he did as he'd both get paid and save face.
Wilder isn’t mentally strong ,he made costume excuses that was a warning sign. He’s going to try and rebuild with a new team he just stalled to waste everything time that is the deal here . He’s emotionally unstable type and needed to use an excuse to not take the rematch,he knew Fury was going to move on I guess he will blame Fury now and his fans will buy into it if this is indeed happening.
That man has a daughter with spina bifida so to call him emotionally unstable is being too harsh.
Fury is simply the better boxer.
But i think we can both agree that when it comes to the big stage, Wilder freezes up.
I miss the humble Wilder who used his triumph over a sick child & poverty.
Not as big a fan of the whole i want to kill somebody.
This is Baloney. The only way I can see this fight being called off if Warren and Team Fury offer Wilder, Finkel and Haymon some set aside money and then he gets to challenge the winner of Tyson/Joshua. If not then Team Wilder would see them all in court real soon if they so much as attempt to breach that rematch clause. wilder has no right for the third fight and keep delaying it....he’s not mandatory and there is no order from the WBC.....he has a chance to fight in December against fury and he keeps stalling and if turns down that fight he loses his right to fight fury again.
If tinpot finkel cannot not find the funds to set this fight then that’s there problem.
Accept it gumbo and move on

My question is this...if it was about a clause reaching an expiration date, why wouldn't that have happened before now?
If, for example, the contract called for a rematch within 6 months, that would have late August as the time the contract would be moot.
When I hear the folks involved say it themselves, I'll believe it. Til then, to me it's just folks trying to spin their way into something that isn't going to happen anyway.
Because, even if Fury WAS somehow miraculously free of a contractual obligation that ANY COURT ANYWHERE would readily uphold, that doesn't mean AJ would be.
AJ has not one, but two mandatories he has to see before the winner of Wilder/Fury...and neither Pulev or Usyk has given any indication that they will take step aside money to facilitate an all British showdown.
So, nice try...but no.

“It’s simply not true (that the contract has expired),” Finkel told WBN on Saturday. In regards to when the fight will take place, Finkel added more. “Deontay Wilder is fighting Tyson Fury in December. We are working on the fight. We will update and keep WBN informed.”

Finkel has just been on sky sports to say “They are wrong, we are fighting in December”
If they are fighting in December why is there no announcement?
Isn't that the announcement?

They want to make the fight but the money isn’t there. Scrambling to find it.
There might be 4-5 million for each guy as it is right now, but that’s a quarter of what they made last time out. Wilders people could get him paid the same money to fight a tuneup and take a step-aside fee for Fury-Joshua... stupid/risky move for both guys to fight for that little, but Wilder holds the cards on the rematch clause.
If it means Fury/Joshua gets made in a timely manner now, great. There will probably be some other bull**** in the way even then though.
Yeah I still see that fight having a lot of roadblocks
All they have agreed is the split and that they will fight in principle. Anyone can do that.
That still doesn’t tackle the problem that they are on different networks. Fury is contracted to ESPN and although Joshua has no official contract with DAZN, I can’t see Eddie just letting him go and fight on ESPN and leave DAZN out in the cold. And the way ESPN and DAZN operate doesn’t really work in terms of doing a joint broadcast. DAZN said they will never do PPV. Their formats aren’t compatible. I don’t see how it works.
I’m sure Sky and BT is easy to do a joint PPV though as they don’t operate any differently and the fight is so big in the UK that both broadcasters will make insane money.
Wouldn’t trust the source but I’ve always felt Wilder is going to essentially wait for the clause to expire and not take the rematch
But in a way he’s kind of in a position not to take it because he’s going to be out of the title picture for a long time or for good otherwise.
Unless we hear it from a reputable source or official source then I’ll assume it’s still happening
