I used to have it:
1. Roy Jones Jr
2. Amir Khan
3. Floyd jr
Now I really feel tempted to put Garcia at nr 1..but it's possible that I suffer from recency bias.
What do you guys say? Does he have a place in the nr 1 discussion?
Wrong go watch his fight against Lopez his combos were crazy fast.
ive watched the fight i just saw some fast flurrys but didn't connect even once so there's no difference in just shadowboxing. watch amir khan he is faster than him but also not enough power.
watch pac-cotto pac- DLH thats a sample of blazing flurry with power.
I still think Mr. Gary Russell Jr has faster hands, not only that but Gary will flash that Hand Speed during a actually boxing match and not just hitting pads or bags!
Gary is the only one who actually does those Pad Work Combos DURING HIS FIGHTS:

agree he is fast but i see no power or not enough power.. look at pacs combos, it's fast and comes with power.
His hand speed is pretty fast even with gloves on. Sure, it'll always be faster without gloves, but that is to be expected. You are still seeing blinding speed with gloves on. His hook that blasted out his last opponent could barely be seen until you watch the replay of it. I think he's only going to get faster and stronger as his body matures.
Ultimately, we don't know much about Garcia until he gets tagged. Will he have Oscars set of whiskers or Amir Khan? We all know having speed and power is great, unless you don't have the chin to go with it. The speed and power will work until you reach that opponent that can take the power, time your speed, and doesn't mind taking a few shots to land his own knowing it's just a matter of time until the chin is cracked...
RJJ and SRR have that same powerful speed?
idk, i will admit i dont watch enough SRR old tapes because its from earlier eras, rather than pretend like I know enough about him
No. I don't think any of your choices have the fastest hands except Jones. Mayweather has fast hands but others have faster hands. Accuracy and timing sets Mayweather apart not sheer hand speed. Khan's hands are pretty fast but not that fast. He throws lots of arm punches that usually miss giving the illusion that his hands are faster that they really are.Fast hands? Try Pacquiao, Loma, Russell Jr and many other proven champions before you give the hand speed championship to prospect Garcia. He has fast hands but not the fastest.
Yeah mayweather is among the fastest of his generation but others are faster. Judah was faster and Pac was even. Mayweather was different in that guys with that athleticism usually have more bad habits, fight less conventional, use a RJJ, Hamed or Ali style or something like that. When you get a guy with unusual reach for his height/weight, speed and athleticism that only a handful of guys can match, solid jaw and add training consistency and a solid tight guard its no wonder he went undefeated and is ranked in top 10 of all time.
missing taylor and judah
Thats because a person who has never boxed get dazzled by his shoe shine which is useless in boxing but good for training to work the fast twitch muscles
Thing about RJJ was he was so fast at full power, other fighters like SRL and DLH, they had two speeds, they could throw fast furries at light power but Roy had such speed in both combination or in full power shots

You can look at Garcia's fight agains Velez and you can see all about his speed.
He has to push his speed out instead it coming out naturally.
I even say that Khan is faster than him who actually throws in combos for most of a fight. He is the naturally faster fighter.
