Define "prime" Wlad. Knocked out by bum Ross Purity Wlad? Knocked out by Lamon Brewster Wlad? Knocked out by Corrie Sanders Wlad? Or home ref advantage jab & grab Clinchko Wlad?
i mean no one was able to defeat the jab and grab Wlad
Who is prime Wlad?
Wlad from 2003 - 2004 got stopped by 3 guys.
Wlad from 2005 -2015 barely lost a round before Fury beat him.
05-15 is the besrt version of him
Ok, and when was his prime? 2003 -2004? 2005 -2014?
Jenning was just where it was painfully obvious he was passed it. Like most noting Pacquiao slowed down after Margarito. It was clear. Except Klitschko was what? 37/38 already?
I didn’t watch Klitschko’s entire career to know his “prime”. His physical prime is similar to most. I know he was busy and jumped around alot in his younger days before gassing. But if you want the best Klitschko when the stars were aligned, mentally and physically ready, near when he fought Haye him I’d say. I’m sure there are Klitschko fanboys who could give you a more accurate answer.
So what? Was he nearly prime then?
Really doesn’t mean anything except styles.
Dude was old either way. You need energy and focus to keep following a guy’s movements and to strike quickly before his head is no longer there. Why you can easily look great in the gym but sht in a fight. And why old guys end up unable to “pull the trigger”.
Turning back the clock to add back the trigger finger that he showed he lost vs Jennings, changes the fight vs Fury drastically.
Ok, and when was his prime? 2003 -2004? 2005 -2014?
But he still nearly knock out Joshua later in 2017.

He looked completely sht and couldn’t pull the trigger from the little headmovement and feints Jennings gave him. A fight plenty of people, including Roy Jones said was close. He was way passed prime vs Fury. He showed in the end of that fight when he tried a little harder he could get to Fury and was cracking him with flush left hooks.
Feinting takes lots of energy, and it’s a killer for an old guy which will be left behind on the reactions if he can’t outfient or break a guy out of the exercise.

The problem I have with that is that who are Vitali’s best wins really?
They say he was tough , but then he did also quit v Byrd when many guys carried on with that injury.
Vitali is always the guy that they said could beat whoever, but his resume is garbage in terms of really good wins and best known for giving an old Lewis a good few rounds before getting his face caved in.
I’ve seen nothing in his style or resume to make me believe he could beat Fury. At least Wlad beat some guys like Povetkin, Haye etc.. and still come up short v Fury.
Death, I think a portion of the resume issue was Vlad holding the other belts. I believe that kinda dealt Vitali a shcittier hand in terms of opponents. Just one nobody's opinion. I do hear you loud and clear though
vitali must be the only guy that his fans pick to "beat all" when he beat fcuk all ever.
his best win is on par with "boogeyman" ortiz.
Look at the lull in the era of heavy, if you want another point of view.
But I hear you loud and clear.
- -Since this the romper room kiddie forum, I've been advised by Barney who certainly has a discerning eye that I coulda knocked out the lot on the same night.
Easy!
I'm not resting on my laurels mind U as I have mine eyes focused on that Thai guy with the best record of all time.
Now I agree about Vlad, but Vitali was more of a missile strike type fighter, I think back in his prime he beats all.

Wlad would have always lost to these kids. His whole straight in straight out bit works right into them.
Another way to say it is you're talking about a generation who was specifically trained to beat Wlad.
lol yeah wlad would really struggle with wilder a guy that has literally no boxing skills
Wlad has already lost to 2 of them and I wouldn't put it past Wilder to KO him either considering how Wlad struggled when he didn't have a vast size advantage
Wlad would outbox Wilder 9/10 times, Wilder sucks at boxing skills
You're setting a very high bar then.
Who do you have as a HW elite? Must be a small enough list to rattle off in a minute or so.
yeh i gues sin the sense that he was on top of a weak pile.
but its hard to call that elite, when your best win is...well it isnt
still he did take a few scalps of titlists, it cant be sneered at, so technically hes elite, i get that.
its like calling sven ottke an elite.
i think you have a case, however weak, toff.

Made a small correction.
Fury has an awful style for any version of Wlad. Fury beats him. Wlad had a very limited but effective set of skills but Fury really knew exactly how to take them away and make him ineffective and could’ve done that to any version of him.
He smashes Joshua.
He beat Wilder probably 8 or 9 times out of 10 but you always have to give Wilder chance because of that power.
