Serious question. Wilder went out and challenged Fury for crying out loud. And fought him twice and survived to tell the tale. The most dangerous man on the planet. A real killer. The cream of the crop. The boogeyman.
Let's cut to the chase. The only reason why Deontay Wilder fought Luis Ortiz back in 2018 was because no one would touch Luis Ortiz. He was avoided.
In addition, the only reason why Wilder fought Tyson Fury after Luis Ortiz in 2018 in the first place was because AJ cowardly ass ducked him.
He fought Tyson Fury on the rebound instead; Since he couldn't fight Anthony Joshua. He fought Fury because he had the highest profile of any heavyweight boxer outside of Anthony Joshua at the time.
Nailed it.
LMAO! Ok sure thing.
Took the soul of greats like Charles and Louis and never tasted defeat, only guys like Ali and Fury can be uttered in the same sentence as Marciano.
I wonder you’re friends with that clown Travesty. You two fools are cut for the same shyt-stained cloth. Both hijack threads with off topic bullshyt.
Dempsey was on record avoiding Langford while Jack was still green, he said it himself. It is hardly a duck if one fighter is still coming up while the other is prime. Wills was a hype job. He got KTFO by some obscure Italian HW, and beaten badly by Sharkey after he ducked Tunney for his biggest payday ever. Talk about a stupid m’fer.
Wills people screwed him over by not delivering promised money prior to the contracted fights Dempsey signed. You already know this, you are just being a salty b!tch right now. Wills was an easy win for Jack.
He never ducked Jeannette, who we already established was a liar, or so your BFF insists. Name one fighter who would allow a last minute swap of opponent during an exhibition. You think Floyd would have fought anyone else who walked into the ring the night he KO’d the 125 pound Japanese skateboarder? Not a chance, yet you clowns hold Dempsey to another standard as if he should fight a different opponent for free no less.
Greb was never a contender for his title. Neither were the others. Next time you rely on someone else to help you, make sure they know something about boxing.
Your boy Marciano was a wife beater and cheated on his wife every chance he got. A cheapskate who would sooner beat someone’s ass rather than pay his debts. While Patterson, Liston and Cleveland Williams were on the rise, he saw the heat coming. He couldn’t beat on anymore old men or hype jobs. He would have been mauled by all three of them. Had Charles not killed a man in the ring he would have finished off Rocky in their first match when he peeled his nose off his face.
In a head to head fight, Jack would have decapitated Rocky. Facts! Now your a hopeless WILDER FAN, another hype job full of excuses and still ducking AJ. Hell, he ducked Whyte!
Marciano might be the greatest HW to ever do it.
As a vet myself, I have a special level of disdain for draft dodgers and similar attitudes of indifference or cowardice towards patriotism and duty.
Dempsey served honorably in the Coast Guard after his boxing career.
:lol1: Ghost names two because he's insecure and knows Jack gets **** for Wills and Langford all the time by loads of historical minded fans.
So I guess I should start with them
“I only ducked one fighter and that was Sam Langford" - Jack Dempsey
Even Jack admits he ducked Sammy.
Langford - top ten of his era
Wills - top ten of his era
Norfolk - top ten of his era
Greb - top ten of his era
Mehan - **** but Dempsey ducked him anyway because he whooped Jack plenty
Jeanette - another top of his era
And that's without even looking for names I didn't know.
:lol1: Also, Dempsey is a draft dodger.
Conversely, Marciano
Patterson debuted the same year Marciano became champion and was not even a top ten the year Marciano retired.
Liston hadn't even debuted by the time The Rock was champion and Sonny was 8-1 when Marciano retired. Far for a top ten HW.
Cleveland Williams? Jesus Ghost that's a reach. For those who don't know Marciano retired in 55, Williams would not be a top HW until the 60s and didn't fight for a title until the mid 60s I'm pretty sure Ali-Williams is a full decade post Marciano. ****ing dumb name to list. Liston and Patterson are dumb, but Williams? Who actually believes Marciano knew who Williams even was?
Also for those interested, Ring has the following for ratings the year Marciano left the game:
Archie Moore
Bob Baker
Tommy (Hurricane) Jackson
John Holman
Willie Pastrano
Nino Valdes
Johnny Summerlin
Bob Satterfield
Young Jack Johnson
Ezzard Charles
And he did serve his country when Uncle Sam called him to duty.
Wilder? Oh boy you believe Joshua who still hasn't fought a risky fight and managed to get a loss? Povetkin who avoided Wlad for a decade?
Men who ask for a figure, get it, then back out ought not get the benefit of doubt
Man who avoid title fights, repeatedly, through their career ought not get the benefit of doubt
Men who fight men who can beat them and are a huge risk to their legacy ought to get the benefit of doubt.
Yer too old to be such a stupid fanboy.
Even if Marciano and Wilder together ducked every name you have, with Queenie's help, you've cobbled together a list of 5 names. That's one less than Jack ducked on his own and again, I ain't even searched for more. I'm sure there's more, every time I crack a book there's a section on how Dempsey ducked the subject of the book.
So, ya stupid mother ****er, thanks for helping me prove my point. Dempsey's the biggest duck in HW history. Fanboy ass *****es like yourself ought not accuse anyone of anything, your time is best served trying to polish that turd you call an ATG

I agree, and I think people who think AJ "erased his demons" in the Ruiz rematch are crazy.
Winning the fight was only part 1 of his recovery process 'I have stated numerous times on here? That Anthony Joshua did not entirely Slay the Dragon that night' Joshua is not the same fighter he was before Ruiz Junior, and I believe there is still unfinished business between them.
Joshua needs to blast out Pulev within 6-8 rounds 'None of this semi-violent game of tick tactics' etc.
He never ducked anyone. Wills is the one that stirred all the controversy. Aside from that, no one else comes to mind. Dempsey was green and declined a fight with a much more experienced Langford, the two of them had the utmost respect for one another. Langford considered him the greatest HW ever and thought he would beat Wills.
If we want to talk ducking, Wilder himself ducked a $7M payday with Whyte since he is scared to fight overseas. No one else would have turned down that fight, no one!
- -Also ducked Povetkin on the eve of their fight. Ducked all his biggest paydays including his biggest, AJ!
Who said anything about Wills? As if Wills was the only solid contender Jack ducked.
I said he's the biggest duck in history not I'm really upset he ducked one dude. This is half-assed attempt Ghost.

:lol1: Says the guy with the division's biggest duck for a username :lol1:
I give you a pass for your ignorance. The topic of Wills was argued ad nauseum, he was no match for Jack even on his best day. Your guy retired early to avoid the inevitable ass-whooping coming his way for the likes of Patterson, Williams and Liston had he hung around much longer.
The crazy ones will be exposed when your guy loses , i already found one of your followers on here that was on a self admitted nervous break down when Fury quit boxing after going through some past threads so I still look forward to your response when it happens that won’t change at all .
Fury, lose?

Good lord, that was a good one. Tell another.
Once you quit you'll ALWAYS quit
History has shown this
AJ is Judah 2.0
I agree, and I think people who think AJ "erased his demons" in the Ruiz rematch are crazy.
You need to touch up on your boxing history. AJ never quit except against Ruiz. He wouldn't mix up with him in second fight. Fury took the worst road and he was even a champ. He was running from something in the ring so he doped up on coke and PED's to stay out of the ring. If you call Ruiz a quitter that only leaves Wilder. You can't knock him for anything.
If you quit once, it will he easier to justify doing it again.
Maybe if you consider the most recent four heavy champs. Fury has a past of PED and other drug problems. I think Fury knew when he was champ back in 2015 that Ortiz would be knocking on his door. AJ didn't have it to go after Ruiz in the second fight to get revenge for the assault he took in the first one. He threw in the towel in the first fight. Strike those two out. Ruiz took the AJ fight when all the others walked away from big money and potential belts. Ruiz has to be up there with Wilder. He is at such a height and reach disadvantage against most heavies.
Being smaller has it's own advantages as a fighter.
while AJ goes on to be a Lewis and have greater impact of importance in historical terms .
Lewis would never spit out his gum shield and quit. Joshua will do it again and again now when he’s in trouble. He’s allowed himself to do it once and it gets easier.
Fury is going to retire AJ and AJ will go down as a guy who had all the hype, quit against a fat guy and then got retired when he finally faced the guy considered no1 in the division, instead of accumulating wins against B level fighters and picking up easy titles.
Fury will go down as the eras best. He dethroned long reigning real champs, actually fought guys when they’re considered at top and took their belts
AJ’s best win is a Fury leftover and then just a load of B and C level guys, one of them stopped him. Once he finally fights the guy considered the best, he will get badly embarrassed again and send into retirement.
AJ talks about “levels” - He is going to find out what that means the hard way. He isn’t even in the same class as Tyson Fury. Joshua casuals are going to be in for a rude awakening in by about round 2 when they fight and realise the truth.
