"Nothing was mentioned regarding Gassiev and Bivol's expected next opponents, but with the aim being to simply end their in-ring absences before 2020 concludes, a pair of low-risk tune-ups are likely before high-profile bouts in front of crowds in 2021 follow."
Bivol is gonna fight a bum next
Browne keeps getting up. Browne got stopped by a cut head gash with Pascal if I recall. Calzaghe was one of my favorite fighters but he’d get clipped with the famous right hand by many but still fight.
That’s true, he has heart an doesn’t quit but let’s be honest, he was on his way to getting legitimately knocked out by Pascal!
Pascal was gaining lots of confidence and clearly was hurting Browne an before the cut happened, Pascal was starting to tee off on Browne an rocked him again!
If that cut never happened I think Pascal would’ve earned a brutal TKO stoppage where the corner throws the towel or ref has to step in!
What makes you think this?
Being dropped multiple times, getting a gift agaisnt that serbian lad when he clearly lost, getting splattered agaisnt a shot to bits Pascal?
Fight not happening, Browne likely gets a tune up or Pascal rematch!
I said it before, Browne has the style, size, skills and pedigree to beat anyone at 175 but his chin and focus in the ring is his Achilles heel!

He's fighting a nobody next
From what the past shows us I think browne would be to tentative to engage an get outboxed an lose a clear decision to bivol
In what fight did Browne box tentative?
Marcus Browne is dangerous because he is very talented, his issue is inconsistency and he seems to be kinda weak mentally as seen vs Pascal in which he fell apart after the Head Clashes or whatever
However like with Badou Jack, Browne probably would get up for this fight and end up looking good vs Bivol then if he was to pull off the Upset he would end up losing to some guy he was suppose to beat the very next fight. That is how inconsistent he is :dunno:
I agree
Not even excited for this. Browne will only be in survival mode from the off and Bivol will likely cruise.
I want to see Bivol vs someone that'll bring the best out of him or at least make him have to get out of first gear. No disrespect to Browne but he has absolutely nothing for Bivol what so ever.
It'll look like a really good pro playing with a total novice in sparring.
I think inconsistent Browne is a lot better than your giving him credit for
I always say it but there is not a more hot and cold fighter than Browne. In fights he is expected to dominate, he disappoints. In supposed 50/50 fights, he dominates. You just never know what you're going to get with him.
I don't mind this fight since Bivol doesn't have many options at the moment.
I'm fine with it, good fight even though I ain't really a fan of Browne's roughousing. I know Browne's only himself to blame but honestly he was beating Pascal fairly comfortably until he started getting careless.
Honestly I'd fancy Browne in a rematch and I'd fancy him over current Kovalev and Smith which kinda means I'm ranking him right behind Bivol anyway, which would mean I'm calling this one of the best fights to be made at 175 (outside of Bivol vs Beterbiev ofc).
Ima guess promotional issues will mean this one won't happen but it probably should.
Though Pascal is my guy, Browne should outbox him especially this version of Pascal. That being said, Browne strikes me as being a bit like Amir Khan: prone to make a bonehead mistake at some point in a fight he's comfortably winning!
