I like Ryan and I think he’s good for bringing popularity to the sport. I also think this fight is a bit risky but it all depends on Luke Campbell. He has the experience with the top guys and should he and his team be able to develop a gameplan and STICK to it, he should win.
With that said, unless he hurts Garcia or stops him, look for Ryan to get the nod.
For those counting Ryan out because of his obvious flaws be careful. He has plenty of amateur experience himself and isn’t a slouch or as soft as he comes across. He has some dog in him. A fight like this can humble him and force him to tap into another level. I still want to see him lose!! Haha and that’s exactly why he’s good for boxing! We all want to see the kid get humbled.
Garcia is going to be taken to school and learn the hard way that boxing isnt a popularity contest... skills and experience pays the bills. He will get outboxed and be given a rude awakening.
No he won’t, Campbell is gonna hurt an beat up this kid!
Watch when he wins everyone will call Ryan garbage and hype job but not give Luke any credit for beating a top prospect who’s on a first round KO streak!
Im picking Campbell to win by KO or UD.
We've seen what Campbell can do and what he brings and while not the most elite boxer out there he is a solid test for someone like Garcia.
But from what I've seen? I highly doubt Garcia will be ready for this fight. For a lot of young guys fall in love with their power and expect to knock everyone out and i dont think Ryan Garcia is any different because I know he wants to be a highlight reel.
I watched his two last fights and as long as they lasted, one round a piece, i can already tell his defense is pretty subpar, he keeps his chin high, and he loves throwing lead hooks.
A lot of the guys hes fought will just stand and trade with him and I doubt Campbell will do that. Campbell is going to drag him into the later rounds and test his gas tank.
I think Ryan is going to get tired. Dude doesn't really set things up and throws combos with a lot of mustard. I doubt he'll be able to do that for 12 rounds.
