where are all the big mouths who for a week were say Alex was an old shot fighter. cannot fight without PED's whyte will roll right over him. where are you guys?? are you ones today saying a 32 year old whyte is shot but not Alex at 41 is not shot? or that whyte has no chin? the PED monster joshua could not KO whyte with one punch
Povetkin is a world class fighter. He has skills and they came in with a plan.
Too me it looked like he was getting beat to the punch because Whyte reflexes are better at this point in their careers.
The minute that Whyte did not throw that short left hook he got tagged
I think Povetkin was sitting on that weak right hand. When it came it was like Barry Bonds seeing a fastball he guessed was coming.
- -He was a Euro fighter for yrs before loony Teddy taught him Tyson's bob and weave defensive tricks where he could leverage his power.
But then then Teddy melted under the stress and had to leave.
Go back and check old fights, he always was more of a move low and counter kind of guy. He never really had a straight up, move back with your chin up kind of style. I can agree that maybe Teddy made him better but certainly didn't mold his whole style.
On a side note, this does go to show just how good a prime Wlad Klitschko was.

I didn't write him off. He was a titlist, a gold medalist and has power. On top of that, he never fought like a stiff Euro fighter.

I didn't give Povetkin a chance in this fight. Have followed his career since before he turned Pro, thought he was old and done, couldn't get the image of Davey Price wobbling him out of my head. I can admit that I was wrong, I doubted Povetkin but now I have a new found respect for the man. He is a legend of the sport. It is okay to call a fight wrong, it isn't meant as a disrespect or anything like that, nobody gets it right all the time. The ones who get me, are the ones who can say after that fight, "Yup, went exactly as I said it would!" At the end of the 4th round, only a moron, or Nostrodamus, could see Povetkin winning the fight from there. For someone to say, "I was right with my pick!", people either picked Whyte wide, or Povetkin to win a close fight. Nobody on here said, "Whyte will put about 3-4 rounds in the bag, have Povetkin on the verge of stoppage, then get stopped himself!" Nobody said that. The amount of idiots on here suggesting they called this order of events is laughable. Gratz for saying "Povetkin has a chance", but don't make out you called it.
Price may not have a chin, but there's no disputing his power. Not surprising to me that he could wobble a buffalo

- -Whyte busted for steroids, not POV.
Peeples gonna be Dum and ain't nothin' gonna change.
Povetkin is past it, but obviously still very capable and dangerous. I'm conflicted because Whyte has been working so hard to get to where he was at, but at the same time was made to be this monster in the ring that Wilder was supposedly avoiding, yet I never really saw that.
I wish Whyte the best, and hopefully he gets to fight Wilder soon, seems to be a fight a lot of people want to see.
Past it but still dangerous... that pretty much sums it up IMO.

He looked shot to pieces IMO...
Watch those first 4 rounds.

Debatable
He struggled with Takam, scraped past Hughie Fury and had a close fight with Ruiz who really isn’t much good, despite his win over AJ
He also had lacklustre performances against the likes of Cojanu, who was iced by the likes of Dubois and Ortiz.
As I said , I like Parker but he’s never really had some impressive performance yet to say he’s any better or worse than guys like Pulev. I’d put him around that level.
It seems like none top 10 contender at hw is good for you.
Ortiz couldn`t ice Scott and Hammer.
But he is still clearly better than Ortiz and Pulev.

Come on, Parker would’ve never won a world title if it wasn’t a vacant title
I really like Parker too but he’s never going to be taking belts off champions
But he is still clearly better than Ortiz and Pulev.
Having life and death fight with ex world champ Parker is fringe contender level. Jesus..
I guess Ortiz beating bums like Kauffman is elite level.

He is a shot fighter
Which makes the result even funnier
Whyte is a fringe contender at best, I’ve said it all along. His level is having life and death fights with Chisora and Parker
