So where is the ageing Russian great headed after that exceptional win??
The obvious step seems to be a rematch with Whyte, which frees up AJ to fight Fury post Pulev....as long as Fury and Wilder stop acting like nonces on social media and fight more than once in 18 months.
If Povetkin can win again, does he get a shot at AJ or Fury, probably about 42 years of age at that point? What a remarkable journey that would be.
You have to give the bloke credit.. he's only lost against Klitch and AJ. Yes the rest aren't Huge names but some are still deemed worthy of fighting for the top end of the table..
Could he literally go out with a bang in 2 fights time? If he manages a title fight, you can't grudge him it..
Can't begrudge povetkin anything. Of course we shouldn't forget his history of ped use but technically he is a fine boxer and over the last 5 years developed some serious ko power. Ahem.
If he has to fight whyte again and then fight either aj or fury, it would be a great end to his career.
