Where are all the boxing experts like Tyistall claiming that Whyte is some elite beast?
I've been telling everyone for years, Dillian Whyte is garbage and always has been. As if Tyson Fury would ever duck that bum lol.
AJs win over Povetkin is also looking better and better, I think Fury destroys him, however I do respect AJs resume and work.
Fury fans called this result, there's a reason why we're the most knowledgeable HW fanbase.
amazing how some idiots think whyte can win a rematch. he got outsmarted and outfought. Alex was coming in the same way thru out the fight going low but throwing the left hook to the body. then he set up the uppercut perfectly. whyte is to dumb to avoid it. it was only a matter of time. Alex can take whytes punches and whyte cant take one punch from Alex
Its a joke. Most boxers have padded records because they are not fighting top ranked guys. After one defeat they get called a bum or overrated. Its killing boxing.

It was a good fight that he was on the verge of winning, and got caught by a devastating ko.
Boxing needs more of this. Fans need to stop writing fighters off after one defeat. Its pathetic. Its one of the reasons why the ufc is doing so well.
Fun fact time: Before AJ came on the scene, the HW division was barren and considered trash with no good fighters, that included the overrated 'Wlad' (who had dominated in the 'weakest era' ever) and uncoordinated 'Fury'. Fury beating Wlad didn't make much noise and the division was still considered trash.
It was only after AJ beat the old Wlad that the division really became massive - because for AJ to be great they could no longer claim Wlad was some bum, or else that would make AJ nothing more than a bum beater (who beat an inactive 41 year old bum). When we talk about how good AJs resume is, it's funny to remember that we only consider those fighters good because Eddie Hearn is a master at promotion and was able to convivnce the masses that these guys were any good to begin with. It was generally accepeted that guys like Whyte, Parker, Ruiz hell even Takam were not very good. But after AJ came on the scene they needed to finally start building guys up to make their guy seem greater than he really is.
Amazing how in the space of a couple years the HW division went from having 100 fans with the general masses not caring and other boxing fans saying it sucked b@lls to then being some killer division with so many great fighters and a 3-headed dragon in AJ, Wilder, and Fury (Wilder still 'to this day' is called a bum to give you an idea). Back when Fury was on top after dethroning Wlad, people would laugh at the idea of 'bums' like Parker or Whyte ever holding a candle to Fury, but now there are actually people that were claiming Whyte would give Fury problems...it's crazy.
Being a HW fan pre-AJ to when AJ became Eddie's golden goose was almost like an overnight rewriting of history where everything was changed and you were the only one that remembered. Truly the power of promotion.
I loved hw division in Klitschko era as well, to be honest.
But I get your point. Hearn is master of promotion and he made hw division much more popular with AJ hype.

I actually thought Whyte would win because Povetkin is shot, not because Whyte is any good. So it’s even funnier that a shot Povetkin ironed him out.
Whyte has never been that good. He’s never beaten a decent fighter without being in trouble in the fight himself. It was only a matter of time before someone finished the job anyway.
His real level is going life and death with guys like Chisora. Fringe contender level. We saw what Fury did to Chisora, that wasn't just styles, that was a huge difference in levels. Fury would do the same to Whyte.
AJ v Whyte is still a good 60/40 fight I think. Both vulnerable and can bang. Joshua being a slightly higher level but we’ve seen he can be beaten by a fighter that’s just pretty decent.

I have never believed he is on AJ or Fury level, but he should have beaten Povetkin.
I still believe he beats Povetkin in a rematch, to be honest.
And I still think Whyte -Wilder would be a very good fight.
100% agree with all of this.
And just to add that he should have been given the chance to either prove he was at their level, or fail. He certainly earned that opportunity.
Look at some of Wilder's mandatories over the last few years. Either undeserving or he simply chose them himself. Criminal from WBC.
I think it was obvious even before this. His fight with Parker was razor thin and effected by the headbutt. His first fight with Chisora could have gone either way on the scorecards, and the rematch was a few minutes away from being in the same position. Hes game and a solid HW but hes part of that Ruiz/Parker/Ortiz/Povetkin/Pulev/Hunter 2nd tier group.
It’s funny to Me because I still say that it’s Fury, then Wilder, then AJ, and everybody else......
I just laugh at the fact Hearn’s always sets up a BIG TUNEUP FIGHT AND HIS BOXER KEEPS GETTING SLEPT!!!!
Straight Pillow Time!!!

- -U put on Smarty Panties for this fight?
Fury has beaten two long reigning champions in their backyards, Joshua has beaten zero.
Fury has the superior resume & will cement it after he knocks Joshua out.
This is the heavyweight division, right now? Fury needs to stay quiet. None of these guys are impregnable.
I am not sure what Fury's reaction is to last night etc
Tyson Fury has not beaten Andy Ruiz Junior, it does not matter what you think about his shape 'Anthony Joshua was the man who faced him twice, was beaten fair play' but then he won the rematch by a complete shut out.
You cannot just continue to dismiss other heavyweight Denium. The reality of the situation is? Tyson Fury has not faced or beaten 95% of these other heavyweights.
Anthony Joshua statistically is the only heavyweight who looks to be wanting to truly clean out the division.
Tyson Fury is number 1, but he does not have the best overall resume.

I'd argue that Furys wins over champions Wlad & Wilder automatically give him the best resume in the division. AJs career best win is Fury's sloppy seconds, not to mention him getting dominated and stopped 12 months ago by a morbidly obese 500x1 underdog.
Whyte isn't even in the conversation.

Who does belong in the ring with Tyson Fury? It seems like nobody is worthy enough to fight him 'And this gives him some sort of multi-dimensional credit' where his fans act as if he has already beaten all these heavyweights in the world.
I am not really in any anybodies corner Denium, BUT Fury has only fought two elite fighters. Anthony Joshua has a better overall resume, and if Whyte beats Povetkin in the rematch? He has arguable a better overall resume also.
But of course Tyson Fury beats Dillian Whyte.

whye is no A level he is a tier below that. he lost to parker and struggled mightily against other opponents. he's had chances to prove he belongs on the same level as fury and aj but he fails time and time again.
Dillian doesn't belong in the ring with Tyson Fury, so at the end of the day, it matters little.
Fury is still the boogieman.

Whether you think he is a B-level heavyweight is irrelevant 'Tyson Fury has not beaten Dillian Whyte'. Tyson Fury has been fighting fighters who are not even B- level, some of them have gone the distance with him.
I think Tyson Fury would beat Dillian Whyte 'But he has not, so gets zero credit for last night'.
Anthony Joshua is the only heavyweight who has beaten both Whyte and Povetkin.

Listen, all I'm saying is that us Fury fans have always known that Whyte is a B level HW who never had a chance against an elite HW such as Tyson Fury.
Our claims have now been supported by Dillian Whyte getting put to sleep by a 40yr old.
Can you honestly say with a straight face that Dillian Whyte would have any kind of chance against Tyson Fury? Or even Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder?
