GGG hydrates to 175 easily. It means he’s not going to suffer those extra 8lbs of water during fight week, which would mean GGG could be sharper. His Rolls return fight was his longest layoff and didn’t take it seriously. Derevyanchenko is way faster in footwork than Benavidez. Styles make fights. The only way I see David being successful is to bully him inside fighting. The long reach jabs from David wouldn’t matter because GGG’s defense parrying jabs or avoiding is A class. GGG would fight like he did against Lemieux but with rejuvenated power because of a lighter drain. Plus GGG at 168 would have a different strength and conditioning regimen as well as diet. Benavidez has got a huge torso. There’s plenty of range for GGG to get his shots in for rib smashing. It could slow down Benavidez’a game. GGG would have to attack David’s body all night to take the wind out of him for 12 rounds. It could work. I dont know man. I am a huge ggg fan but he has definitely lost a step. Id like to see benavidez against a dangerous puncher so ggg would provide that test. David has the faster hands so he could get the W but i think ggg would walk him down and take him out. Ggg by late ko or UD
