He is young, that`s why. he has plenty of time, he can wait next 5-6 years and than take a belt, at that time Joshua or Fury will retire.
Hrgovic is 28, beat nobody. We don`t even know if he beats somebody like Hughie Fury or Breazeale or Wallin.
Joyce is 35 old, not even a prospect.
Yoka is 28 already, the same as Hrgovic.
Dychko is 29, beat nobody, proved nothing.
Sirenko is 25, he is small and fights 8-rounders.
Ajagba is 26, some say he is older, he looks older, he is chinny, he is new Ugonoh very likely.
Who else is there?
I don't see anyone beating Tyson Fury.
He can rule for the next decade if he wants to. Daniel looks like a good prospect, but the Gypsy King would box his head off.
Vitali would defeat Tyson Fury put up the poll and so ? Fury has one of the weakest resumes ever as a two time champion beyond one proven name so discrediting here is also a big fail .
Still beat more real proven fighters than Vitali ever did.
Vitali dined out on giving an old Lewis a few good rounds before getting his face taken off and stopped.
Vitali has a worse resume than Fury, that’s not even up for a debate. Vitali also didn’t want to fight Fury and opted to fight Chisora, even though Fury had just taken Chisora’s 0.
Vitali also asked to be pulled out v Byrd. Lots of fighters have carried on with that injury, even if it means a loss, they didn’t quit on their stool like Vitali. He couldn’t take it.
He would never have had the skills or minerals to beat Fury.
There’s an obvious difference with being able to throw shots top to bottom between Price and DDD , Price didn’t have the talent to impose as much or be as explosive in spurts with abilities to finish guys . DDD will be a top 5 guy for years but Hrgovic is a throwback to the great Vitali which is a huge problem .
Vitali’s resume is total garbage, so I don’t think that’s some great comparison.
Hard to say, It often seems that nobody coming through and then fighters just seem to come along. Or sometimes a fighter exceeds expectation.
Not many would’ve picked Fury to be the man to dethrone Wladimir and be looking like the dominant HW of this era.
I’m reserving my judgement and Daniel Dubois for now. David Price was blasting through the calibre of opponents that Dobois has been facing until he stepped up a bit more. You just never know.
Ajagba is like the Chris Arreola of the upcoming heavies with a worse chin. He also isn't fat like Arreola but I see his career playing out the same way
Charles Martin, Bermane Stiverne, and Joseph Parker all won world titles recently.
If you include the stupid WBA Regular belt, add Lucas Browne and Manny Charr to the list.
It's not a very high bar anymore. Whomever comes out of the Fury-Joshua-Wilder triangle on top will still likely have some belts stripped away, where some vultures will have a shot at a vacant belt against an overmatched bum.
Pretty much this. And this isn’t just for heavyweights either. This is par for most divisions. You get stripped belts quite frequently for various reasons. Someone wins a vacant title and is then considered “champion” and his name is actually etched in the books.
Then you get divisions where no one is really dominate and you play musical chairs with the belts. But the bar is set low these days.
It sounds stupid, but winning a belt isn’t as big as an accomplishment anymore and you would be surprised who might win one.
I wouldn`t say Hrgovic is a bum, but I won`t give him a credit he doesn`t deserve.
Let Hrgovic first beat somebody like Wach, Rudenko or Hughie, those gatekeepers and than somebody like Takam, than we can discuss how is he better than Parker. Hrgovic only beat Molina`s old ass, Molina was terribly beaten by many guys before.
With what ? He would need a bat . Anyone who gets a SD questionable win over Hughie is in for a very bad night against Hrgovic. Parker would be getting walked into shots and he would be mentally defeated by mid rounds .
Styles make fights. Hughie is tricky for everybody. Who looked great fighting Hughie?
Parker almost took Whyte out. Whyte only survived hanging on Parker in the last round..
Hrgovic would never struggle against Cojanu or Hughie Fury ,in fact Parker struggles badly with guys who are tall and have average power he would do very little against Hrgovic it would be a easy coast win where Parker has next to no chance . You guys really lost the plot on this one .
We don`t know that. Hrgovic should first fight someone like Wach, Rudenko, Hughie.

I think you are right, Dubois seems like he has the time, skill and look of a champion in waiting. The Joyce fight will be a big test for him and will give a good indication of if he can move to the next level.
Unfortunately, I can't see Dubois getting a title shot for a few years, maybe even like 5!
Hrgovic is laughably overrated.
We can say he's "pushing 30" and has literally fought nobody, the fights I have seen him in he's very "meh"
It's just because he has a funny Eastern euro sounding name he gets rated.
I feel the same. He is more next Pulev than next Klitschko for me. Wladimir Klitschko was already WBO world champ by the age of 24.
Hrgovic should fight for EBU title, make some defenses and than cash out for world title.
Charles Martin, Bermane Stiverne, and Joseph Parker all won world titles recently.

Parker is very decent heavyweight, so was Stiverne when he won the belt. And Martin is top 20 still.
I am not sure Hrgovic beats Martin.

Dubois is the most complete fighter amongst them all. Ajagba hits hard but his skill level is not up to the mark for a champ. He can be champ and retain it only when current set retires and Dubois holds on to some but not all the belts. Hrgovic is also a good prospect.
I usually do not judge boxers as champs if they "might get lucky" in a title fight. For me, a champ is one who wins the belt and is able to retain it in competitve fights for at least some time.
Said from day one regarding Dubois, no matter the result of Joyce fight, he will still achieve whatever he wants to achieve where's Joyce loses it could nearly be over before it's started..
Dubois and Ajagba are the kings of the young prospects due to their dominance thus far.
Makhmudov hasn't really been tested yet, but deserves a shout out.
Fury has praised Vianello, another dark horse of the division.
It is RARE we get to see Heavyweight Prospects that young at least when it comes to being in the Spotlight that young
I do like the Development of Dubois so far, I think Frank doing a great job at bringing him along at the right pace and not trying to rush him. I think the Joyce fight is the perfect fight for his first big fight. I'm sure Frank would like to be able to have that in front of a Crowd so looks like that will be pushed back until fans are able to attend live events again
But yeah absolutely I can see Dubois coming along and disrupting this Division maybe late 2021 for sure by 2022
Jared Anderson who is only 20 years old is another young Heavyweight I'm watching closely! Bob Arum, Top Rank and Bob Arum doing a great job building him up early and giving fans the opportunity to watch him grow which is smart
I think his chances look very good to become heavyweight champion. Dubois is a mighty mighty man. He is very young as you say with 13 KOs in his 14 straight wins. 6ft 6 inches 240 lean pounds. his very big but not so big as to lose much speed and agility. I have seen him fight and he looks very good to me. He should get better. I can see him beating everyone with a bit more experience and time to perfect his skills. He might beat them all right now.
