Just to clarify.
You don't think Vitali was ahead prior to being stopped?
I had him 4-2 in front. I don’t really think that fight tells us much about how he’d fare against Fury though.
Lewis was what 6 ft 5? Fury has completely different dimensions.
I’m not saying Fury is greater than Lewis but I just think it’s a far tougher matchup stylistically for Vitali.
If Fury boxes off the back foot, employing the same strategy he used to beat Wlad, I just don’t think Vitali has the speed, skill or tools to deal with that.
Vitali was a great warrior, but he fought very poor competition. He fought a true ATG elite hw only once and lost by stoppage. Maybe he would have even more losses if he fought Holyfield, Mike Tyson and other guys that were still around?
Whatever, this fight would be 50 -50.
Vitali for me was always the better of the brothers.. shame injuries did him over..
Been a nice fight, I couldn't call the result of Fury now but I'd confidently say Vitali takes the Fury that Vlad fought to the cleaners..
The point on his career is key. He has beaten Klitschko on points and had a draw + win against wilder.
Then it’s a huge step down to fights against Chisora.
Longer term for fury to be considered up there he needs to take on multiple other opponents in a similar way to how AJ has been. He still has time to do it but it’s really hard to argue for him against the legendary fighters as it stands
Chisora is one of Vitali’s best wins and that was after Fury already took Chisora’s 0
Vitali’s resume is garbage when it comes to quality wins.
Fury schools him. Far too good.
Vitali dined out on having a good four rounds against an out of shape Lewis before getting his face caved in and stopped, the rest of his resume is bums and he quit against Byrd when things got tough. Lots of fighters have fought on with that injury but he asked to be pulled out.
He wouldn’t have the skills or minerals to beat Fury.
Vitali Kiltschko had greater hand speed, better endurance, and was more durable 'A very awkward defense, primarily a extremely violent offensively minded fighter' who more importantly? Could punch correctly i.e straight punches, short punches, hooks and from range etc
Vitali kiltschko wins.
I'm a Gypsy King fan but he's given too many accolades because of his last fight. Otherwise his career doesn't really say much. Few heavyweights from any era could beat Vitali. Certainly not Fury.

I personally thought Wladimir would’ve beaten fury in a rematch. I would back Virali to beat him too.
Could fury win on his day? Of course. But I would put him as the underdog
I'm not one of those guys that suck off the older fighters to seem more intelligent/knowledgeable/superior to others and I don't look at things through rose-tinted glasses and nostalgia...a perk of not idolising any man, only God and his prophets. I will say Fury beats most HW champions in history but I'd favour Lennox over him, and quite possibly a prime Wlad and Vitali.
Wlad was 39 years old when he lost to Fury so he was many years past prime. I think both brothers KO Fury prime against prime an Vitali does it easier. Vitali had an iron jaw and was never knocked down, I think he would have KOed Lewis had he not been cut.
Wlad barely lost a round in 10 years of fights before Fury beat him. He was like unbeatable after those 3 losses.

fury is more agile then Vitali and has more levels in his game..Vital was tough and mean but Fury is more skilled...
I like this. I think Vitali can give anyone real problems of course. He can really start putting it on an opponent without having to load up on his punches. But over say a trilogy of fights I see Fury adapting the most. Vitali would just lean back as his defence, not so easy against Fury. Plus Fury is better in the clinch, though Vitali has a good uppercut. I expect blood and a great fight. Course Fury beat Wlad which gives Vitali sum sort of bonus modifier. One day A.I. and holograms will get so good... but the would it even matter...
Fury beat his younger brother a couple of years ago. Vitali stopped all of the contenders in his era. And he gave Lennox Lewis a tough fight.Wlad was 39 years old when he lost to Fury so he was many years past prime. I think both brothers KO Fury prime against prime an Vitali does it easier. you dont even believe that...lol..If anyone gets stopped it wont be Vitali
Fury bullies that man, Vitali might take a knee like Cotto. Fury would be bouncing his head off the corner like Floyd did to Hatton. Would let Vitali hit him flush like Mayorga did to Trinidad. Fury would whip him and teach him a lesson, then after the stoppage walk up to his corner, slap him and find Larry Merchant and slap him too, even if he wasn't in attendance. Vitali would get cans and bottles thrown at him as he exited because Fury does no wrong and everything he touches turns to gold and the crowd would be roaring and NSB would shut down for 48 hours lmao.
WAR Fury!!!!

Fury stops him late.
