Loma's head will be flying back in forth like a balloon and all of you guys will be having heart attacks. Y'all won't even know how to deal with this ****. All of you guys will have to make new accounts. I guarantee that loma is getting ko'ed with a jab!
i hope 1.5 would get it done....it might seem miniscule on the outside...but an extra 300k goes along away for a fighter and his expenses....

That's exactly my point because that extra money could be the difference between clearing 1 million after taxes or not. Teo can do what he wants of course but that's what I would propose if I was Bob Arum. If that's still not enough then it's time for both sides to move on.

Yup. 300k would go a long way, for cut men, trainers, traveling, etc. I do think a lot of these expenses are deductibles. I'm pretty sure, although I'm not a CPA.
Either way, he may not take in a cut equal to a CEO, but he will bring in an amount equal to a doctor/surgeon for the year. I mean, he DOES plan on fighting next year, I'm assuming.
I hope we get the fight too. Perhaps a bump from 1.2 mill to 1.4 or 1.5 would do the trick?

i think thats because "if the money is right" is always implied...it kinda always is it?....i dont think lopez ever said "ill take the fight for any amount of money" or "ill beat his arse for 500k" did he?..."if this money is right" is basically implied for everyone
as you mentioned...lopez has been calling out....and "campaigning"...hes been doing his part to build interest in this fight.....hes been doing the talking...hes the one who stole the show against commey
yeah verdejo will probably likely gladly step in....thats also a lesser payday for loma...loma isnt making that same money against him he would against lopez.....and people are alot less interested in that fight than they would be in lopez/loma
i just dont think its a fight arum wants to make...or as ever really wanted to...even loma intially said he figured top rank would rather have lopez win....i think theyd rather him go to 140
i hope im wrong and we get this...its one of the most intriguing fights that can be made in the sport

If Loma “catches Teo’s jab” that means he’s going to deflect it and counter it.
Idiot.
Well, y'know, I don't usually hold with taking money from fools - not any more anyway. Bad Karma. But work's been a bit thin on the ground with Rona and if this guy's offering to just give his money away. :dunno:
:lol1:
LoL! IKR? If he's going to gamble like that, then he should get used to losing :lol1:
I'm all for fighters negotiating to get as much as they can because boxing is a brutal sport. With that said, Teo has been campaigning for this fight for a long time and his call-outs never included the phrase "as long as the money is right" until now.
Also, the pandemic is hurting everyone's pockets because there is less money in the pot with no live gate. Teo's manager is saying that ESPN should step up and salvage the fight but I don't know that they will, especially with the recent NBA restart.
Can ESPN afford to make up the difference? Can Bob Arum himself afford it? Perhaps, but Lomachenko-Lopez isn't Mayweather-Pacquiao so I don't think the network will bend over too far backwards to make the fight happen (I would love to be wrong about that).
As for Arum, I'm sure his attitude is that Felix Verdejo will gladly step in for the same deal that Teo is unhappy with.
If Teo wants to stand on principle and turn down the fight then that's his decision. I just hope he doesn't overplay his hand to the point that he ends up with $0 instead of 1.2 million or whatever is left after taxes.
My hope is that both parties are able to settle on an improved offer (maybe 1.4 to 1.5 million perhaps? so he clears a million after expenses) so that the fight can happen.
If the fight doesn't happen then the perception will be that Teo ducked. Either way, there are other fights out there for both guys.

LOL :rofl:That's funny. Witty observation

lol...another one of those "lopez has no courage" guys because he isnt giving in easily to whatever they want to give him...geez...one of those guys who doesnt think business side matters when it fits his agenda...but then will talk money and business when it does
and whats wrong with who teo is? so hes flashy and talks? and loma is humble and classy? thats great...two different types...the world would be pretty boring if everyone were the same

You are bragging about something that has not happened and may never happen. For Lopez to have any chance of winning he needs the balls to share a ring with Loma. I think Lopez is very good and has a chance to beat Loma. I pick Loma to win because he is a great proven fighter while Lopez looks great but still has a lot to prove. I am rooting for Loma because he is a class act while Lopez is an annoying bragger who now won't even back up his big talk and instead is pricing himself out of the fight. If Lopez ever gets his courage up and fights Loma and knocks him out why would Loma fans have heart attacks and start new accounts? It is just a fight. Everybody on this forum has had a favorite fighter lose many times. It is the fighters loss not theirs. They don't have heart attacks or start new accounts. Don't be so dramatic.

Oh boy, you're sticking your neck out here. What will you do if Loma simply outboxes him?
Quiet little children. Listen to this man and learn about life!

Lmao isn't it crazy?
They're not even Teofimo Lopez fans. They just hate seeing a white guy being successful.
Basically this is what it all boils down to. A European dominating and sitting at P4P #1 really strikes a cord with a certain demographic lol.
