Ive followed the Ginger from early on. I always liked him up until he won the belt from Cotto and almost immediately gave it up to duck Golovkin. I mean this really cant be denied even by the most hardcore fanboy.
Now this is just my thinking on this but after Brook kind of held his own before getting his face broke and Danny Jacobs (aslo a big fan of) held his own but obviously lost he and his team thought, its our time to get him. Anyone with eyes knows Canelo lost the first fight, the second fight he was strong the first half but faded and Golovkin had some pivotal moments and made it really close. Ill be honest I havent watched the second fight after it first aired but I thought if there was going to be a draw this was the fight. I felt like Derevyanchenko deserved the nod over Golovkin more than anyone who has ever fought him.
I say all that to say this. I dont really care about the whole ped thing. He got caught, they all do it. Its amazing he did but he did so be it. The dude has a lot of cherry picks but all great fighters do. Kovalev was low hanging fruit but a good win for him, he looked like ass for most of the fight but he landed the punch, you could see it coming.
Im coming back around to the kid is what im saying, Im looking forward to what he can do with the time he has left. He should have a few more loses on his record sure but you could say that about alot of fighters. He aint scared Ill give him that, JMW to LHW doesnt get done all the time.
I think the only time I didnt agree was when he dropped the belt and when he fought khan
Everything else has been beautiful
I tend not to get into boxing politics
Oscar is a necessary evil
Unfortunately Oscar is. Im looking forward as Ive said, it should be fun.
but, you made that stupid comment :lol1::lol1:
that stupid comment is not in my sig to "deter you from answering"
that stupid comment is in my sig to provide readers an example of the extremely stupid things that you say on a daily basis here at boxingscene
if only sig's had more room
funnily... first you denied making that comment, then you tried to justify it LMAO :lol1:
Yeah that's funny al right I don't recall denying I made it.
I dont dislike Canelo the man or boxer and never did. I didnt agree with some of the moves along the way, that probably has more to do with his management than him. I agree though, he is fun to watch.

AFTER, totally refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo...
Mr " anyone from 154-168 " stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up...
LMAO !!!
you cannot make that shlt up :lol1:
And only a idiot would think putting stupid comments in their sig. is going to deter someone from answering. You're acting like a third grader...

you refuse to blame Golovkin because you are a little fanboy phaggot
only a little fanboy phaggot would make the ridiculous excuse in my sig

It’s not rocket science, gramps. You think Loeffler was going to get away with a purse bid against Oscar without negotiating? The WBC gave them an ultimatum for a purse bid in short time against the biggest Draw. GGG wasn’t a PPV success like Canelo. So how it’s easy to smash your assumptions!
It's not an assumption it's a fact. He dropped the belt. Or are you going to rewrite the history books. He dropped the belt because the WBC ordered a fight between Golovkin and Canelo. If that fight was not ordered he would never have dropped the belt.
I blame Canelo. He dropped the belt because he didn't want to fight Golovkin. Remember the WBC approached Golovkin's team and facilitated the step aside with Cotto to allow the Canelo Cotto fight to proceed. That's the fight people really wanted. Two top popular Latino fighters. One Puerto Rican one Mexican, an old ongoing rivalry. The agreement was the winner was to face Golovkin. Instead Canelo dropped the title stabbing Golovkin and the WBC in the back and Cotto had the nerve to say that he may not pay Golovkin the step aside money he owed him. He changed his tune when Loeffler threatened legal action. Don't try and cast these two guys in a good light you're better than that. I hope. As far as 164 and Ward. Ward was the one who initiated the fight talks. Having said that if Golovkin beat him at 164 I would not consider him a true Super Middleweight champion.

Don't blame them for not stepping up to 160. He's too dangerous to fight at 160. If you are fighting for a title you should be prepared to fight under the rules. If the upper limit is 160 then that is what you have to contend with. The opponent will come in at the weight that best suits him. Yeah and that goes for Golovkin also and Pacquiao and Mayweather and Canelo and Ray Leonard and anybody else that wants a title in another weight class.
stop crying bltch
Mr " anyone from 154-168 " shat the bed over his biggest fights
and then a few months later, AFTER totally refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto and Canelo... Bullshltkin stated that he is willing to fight at 154, but nobody will step up LOOOOOL :lol1:
you cannot make that shlt up LMAO
lol. Ok. Like Canelo wasn’t the biggest draw besides that.
Typical gay shet you read from NsB kids
lmfao.
So you admit you're wrong but don't admit the severity of how wrong you are?
Saying Canelo was the next biggest draw after May/Pac is saying that GGG is the next biggest draw behind Canelo and we both know you don't believe that for a second.
GGG didn't need to go down to 154 because he knew sooner than later Canelo would be moving to 160 and that 160 runs through him.
May/Pac both only cherrypicked titles at 154 without even being the best there.
The only gay **** here is you and your revisionist history.
GGG said he wanted the winner of Floyd vs PAC at 154. Before the Cotto fight , Canelo said they could fight at his “weight.” GGG never took Canelo’s offer for a guy who says “sure... if it’s a big money fight.” As Aboutfkntime has said a million times GGG was a bullshet. He wanted 164 with Ward. Cmon dude. Lol
Why do ggg fans insist to pick on Canelo when GGG ducked Ward. Those things cancel out.
And you guys forget the WBC imposed the mando purse bid immediately after Khan. Sulaiman could’ve at least had a month+ for negotiations. Instead it was like after a week... such moves would be offensive to GBP. All while Canelo was going through litigation with All Star Boxing. Loeffler didn’t even say anything that he would be willing to give Oscar a month to reach a deal... none of That happened and Canelo relinquished the belt. Blame the WBC and Loeffler.

Its weird how you always forget the biggest details.
Pac/May >>>>>>>>> Canelo at that time
And unlike Canelo their max weight is 154. Canelo was a 160lber who was cutting down to 154-155.
Thats a big difference.
Also you forget that Ward was willing to come down to 160 for Mayweather but not GGG.
You also forget Ward turned down this fight in 2013 and needed GGG to sign a multi fight deal before they actually fought because Ward needed "tune ups". Plus the guy couldnt even MAKE 168 anymore.
Too funny how you guys always try to rewrite history.
Funny too how yall forget if there was a GGG vs Ward fight that GGG is the A side.
And for someone who is complaining about catchweights you, as a Canelo fan is one to talk.
Too fuxking funny mayne
Mr " anyone from 154-168 " refused to be a man of his word
so he lied to his idiot fans

u ok hun? :frown:
no Saunders
no Lara
no Mora
no Charlo
no Andrade
Bullshltkin avoided the mover/spoilers
he only fought Jacobs because the WBA forced him, and he did everything he could do back out of that fight
LMAO
Yeah he did everything to avoid Jacobs by paying over the mandated purse split for a challenger. Again what an idiot..
