At least a Mikey-Loma fight was only ever really speculated about as a possibility, whereas Lopez-Loma was actually confirmed and had a set date before the rona ruined everything. Hey, it's possible. I do think Bob has a grudge against Mikey. However, if there's one thing that Bob will put aside grudges for, it is money. And Mikey and Loma would have generated a huge amount of money. More so than Teofimo would generate. It's not even a debate. So I think Bob would have made the fight knowing how much revenue he'd generate. It's hard to tell how much is ducking and how much is just not wanting to work with one another. Politics definitely helped prevent that fight from happening. I do think Mikey gets some of the blame for the fight not happening though. If he stayed around 140 there could have been at least a glimmer of hope the fight wouldn't be dead but when he jumped to 147 we all knew it was.no longer a possibility. Really one of the best possible fights we could have got.
