Usyk can`t beat Joshua, Fury or Wilder, but I can see him beating some top 10 guys like Ortiz, Hunter, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker. I guess he is maybe N. 4 in division. he just needs to prove that. Well, he already beat Hunter at cw. Even better.

Tyson Fury said that he had issues when he faced the speed and skill of Cunningham who is not close to Usyk in terms of technique, speed, resume or talent. Fury is far superior nowadays, and at the end of the day, Cunningham got splattered. Usyk was getting lit up by Bellew until Tony ran out of gas, and he didnt look particularly impressive in his HW debut. Usyk is a good fighter who could defo beat a fatty like Whyte, but the Gypsy King is too much for him to handle. Usyk has openly admitted that Fury would be a big problem.

This interview is only worth watching if you are a die-hard Usyk fan with time to spare, I watched it in 1.5x speed and after it finished I gave a quick rundown of the key things that were said, that's why it may seem a bit disjointed. If I were a proper journalist I would write down notes on pen and paper as the interview was going and have more clear and precise points, but I gave you the jist of it. While it wasn't a 'formal' interview by any means, it does not feature any humour or Usyk 'quirks' and is quite matter-of-fact. No future fights were mentioned beyond the Chisora fight which still has no date.

QUICK RUNDOWN: Preparation: * During COVID-19 (C-19) he has kept his diet and training, spends much more time with family and goes on jogs with sons. * His arm injury before C-19 required "slight surgery", he was back in the gym 3 days later. * He works his technique once a day, trains sometimes twice a day with lots of kettlebell exercises and general body conditioning. * Does not plan to bulk up much at HW, values mobility and speed over being "overweight" as he describes a lot of HWs. (Mentions how AJ lost 5KGs and Ruiz gained 7 KGs for their rematch, says Ruiz was "beaten by the refrigerator" i.e. eating too much. Future plans: * Derek Chisora fight has no confirmed date, says it is ultimately up to the UK government but says he is interested in the idea of fighting behind closed doors with no crowd - crowd or no crowd does not bother him. Promotional Company: * 'USYK 17' is his promotional company - made up of himself, accountants, managers etc. * Still signed with K2 Promotions (Klitschko brothers) - has good relations with both Wlad and Vitali. * After his contract ends with K2, is open to signing with whoever offers the best deal whether K2, Eddie Hearn, US promoters etc. and potentially co-promoting with his own company. * Has signed NO fighters to his company, but has eyes on young talent and plans to travel across Ukraine/talk with his assosciates across the country to sign talent. * BIG BOXING NIGHT takes place on August 1 in Ukraine, will feature a lot of Ukrainian talent and their international opponents. * He wants to sign fighters and help train them with good trainers and managers so they don't get ripped off by foreign promoters and taken advanage of.
