It's at 130 and Santa Cruz has both his achilles so I could see this going the distance.
I don't think Cruz has either Gamboa's heart or skills. Gamboa is pretty big too. He fought Crawford at 135 eight years ago. Bud's best win so far. I think he'll school Haney.
Cruz has a lot more chance against Loma.
How? Santa Cruz has ZERO advantages here. Davis is faster, younger, more coordinated, has less mileage on him, and is considerably faster with any punch you name. Santa Cruz gonna get butchered.
His uppercuts are nasty too. Davis throws every punch in the book well. Straight lefts will medicate Cruz.
Davis is going to lose a decision.

inside of six Santa Cruz hits the canvas. Davis is a super aggressive fighter and Leo doesn't have the firepower or defensive skill to be competitive. Santa Cruz is a 118/122 fighter that has outgrown his effectiveness.
I think this is probably the most sensible, intelligent post I've ever read on NSB.
Thats because santa cruz hasnt fought anyone good since 2017 (frampton). Hes last fought 3 nobodies and took them a decision since. Gamboa was willing to fight the best and still is. Santa cruz has never attempted to unify ever once in his 38 fights until now cause hes a cherrypicker and a chicken. Gamboa was a olympic gold medalist and a unified champ. Santa cruz is a paper champ
In his last 3 fights he beat Abner Mares a former multiple weight division champ and winner of the showtime Batam weight tournament, for a 2nd time and next 2 fights where just stay busy fights while now he’s bout to challenge someone bigger and stronger to shut haters up like yourself!
Santa Cruz is a 4 weight division champ and Gamboa’s only held a title in one weight division, how does that make Gamboa a better fighter? Also keep in mind Santa Cruz has never been stopped or KO’d can’t say the same for Gamboa!

ITT: stank hut nuggers
Bro, you don't know the definition of that. Fanboys would have hyped Cruz to the moon and back. As Gervonta's biggest fan, I'm doing the opposite.
Imagine if Arum had someone like Santa Cruz for Loma or Valdez. He'd be it. I don't think much of him for Davis. Maybe you are not used to my kind of honesty.
Maybe he does not KO him. Maybe Santa Cruz out works him and wins. Santa Cruz throws 100 punches a round. Davis probably averaged about 25 punches a round last fight. Davis probably wins by KO but I don't see it as a sure thing.
Gamboa was a better fighter than santa cruz ever was

:lol1: Touché.
One way or another though I think Tank really should be looking to make a statement here. Fairly or not the Gamboa fight didn't really do much to improve Tanks standing is most eyes, but a big KO here could help put him back on track.
That's one way to see it. I don't think much about Cruz.
Or is Davis gonna break Santa's foot too in 2 rounds?

If the fight is at 130, it's gonna get worse for Cruz
.
Why is Cruz too small? Isn't he a champ at 130? People with their excuses and hypocrisy. Davis is too good for Santa at any point in their careers.
Gamboa was a better fighter than santa cruz ever was
I was a huge fan, man. Yuri was one of the most exciting dudes I ever saw, thought he was gonna be an ATG... he's been shot to hell for years now, even without a fkd up leg.
LSC is decent, went off the boil after Frampton though. I think he's got a decent chance of making it to the end if Tank comes in at 130 and Leo got two good legs.
