why is mike still showing amazing speed and power?? where as fighters like holyfield is slow axx shiiet right now?? could tyson be cut from the same cloth as pacquiao? better as they get older? tyson looked better in some of these videos than he looked when he was still fighting lol.

Honestly, you also have to watch for the quick cuts and shaky cam video editing. It can give you the appearance of something faster or more frenetic than it really is. They do it in movies all the time...
I doubt Tyson is as nutty as he was in his 20s-30s. It's got to be impossible. Do the laws of aging not exist for Tyson as they do for 99.9% of the people on this planet? Highly doubtful. If anything, you'll see a Tyson who looks aged but appropriately in place against another aged fighter.
This fight means nothing overall to either mans legacy and is nothing more than an exhibition fight. With that said, it's still honorable that Tyson is taking on another BOXER rather than someone from a different sport. That shows balls.
The action is not sped up.
Mike Tyson's co-ordination, and ability to put his punches together 'Is impressive'.
it is clearly sped up and are quick clips put on back to back to make a faster feel
Love how the armchair athletes are talking chit as usual and looking stupid.
:lol1:
Tyson looks good. Actual fighters know letting your hands go and moving for 3, 3 min rounds will break a good sweat. The average random off the couch can't do it for a single round without a breather.
Typical casuals swear you can't assess a fighter unless hes standing in front of the best fighter in the division but that's only because they don't know what they are looking at, nor what to look for.
What is so impressive about 3 second sped up clips??

Me neither. But we are not pro heavyweights. You think he survives 5 rounds against top 20 guy?
Nah. If he were that badass, he wouldn't have retired when he did. It's reasonable to say that he's less capable now than he was 15 years ago when he quit. Then again, today's top 20 may be pretty weak. Is there even a top 20 HW list? We might have to narrow it down to top 5.
He looks awesome for 54 and could probably still beat the brakes of 99% of people out there.
However, even in the McBride fight he looked awesome on the pads and in training. Significantly better than he does here actually. Miles better, infact.
However, I just take this as an excellent advertisment for HGH, TRT, EPO and other PEDS.
If there is ever a reason to start juicing when you get older and these are the results? Man, I'm getting jabbed every other week.
I love Tyson he got me into boxing but when a legend/ATG and often just a decent fighter goes on an undefeated streak far too often do we hear how they're supposedly unbeatable. Nobody is unbeatable let alone Mike who was always grossly overrated due to how exciting he was & even in his prime (before a lot of us was even born ffs) he was a 4 round fighter who faded badly and lost composure.
He was getting KTFO by Danny Williams & Kevin McBride a good what 17-18+ years back? He's hardly lived healthy since either as much as people want to act like CBD can make you walk on water. He isn't beating absolutely anybody durable that is remotely competent.
Rather than risking serious injury he should fight that MMA fighter Wanderlei that is 44 and every bit as shot as himself & much smaller than he is. I'm sure 16mill would go along way and help him scratch that itch with no risk. I get that fight but for him to step back into boxing, that is only going to end one way.
Pro boxing match goes 12 rounds, not 20 seconds. So based on some clips, where he hits a punching bag, you predict Mike can deal with active heavyweights in real fights. I am impressed.
If you’re a hater it is. Ha
I can clearly see Mike Tyson is slower than his active years 'But even still? The ability he has in those training drills now, surpasses most active heavyweights. It is only really Joshua who looks impressive on the pads, Fury is terrible 'Only really Joshua who can put his punches together, him and Ruiz Junior'.
Remember when Mike got so frustrated and worn down by a 6'6", 270lb bum to the point he resorted to throwing headbutts and trying to break his arm, then ended up quitting in the corner after just 6 rounds?
That was 15 YEARS ago. He's not getting better, no matter the amount of wishful thinking some casuals have.
I wouldn't say Tyson looks better than he did when he was young. But I would say that he looks good for his age and I wouldn't want to get caught by any of those shots.

The answer is simple. He is NOT showing amazing speed and power and you are very easily impressed. To me he looks exactly like a once great champion who is 54 years old would look like when he was KOed by average fighters 15 years ago and retired because he could no longer compete at a high level. He has done nothing in the last 15 years except drink and smoke and get fat. To you his mitt punching looked amazing. To me it looked very average for an old ex champ. He looked kind of clumsy and not that fast. A good young pro heavyweight doing the same workout would put Tyson's short workout to shame. Pac fights good for his age but no way is he better now than he was in his prime or even near as good. No boxer suddenly gets better after age 35. They all get a bit worse every year and that includes Pacquiao and Hopkins. Pac is 41 so he is 13 years younger than Tyson. If Tyson fights other old ex champs his own age he might do OK. If he fights any current top 20 pro heavyweight he will get slaughtered.

it's because those guys aint around anymore when tyson was a journeyman at 38... different time, different era from 38 years old to 54... that's about 20 years part! the guys now would get toss up from the 38 year old version of tyson.
You must be joking. you are suggesting that McBride and Williams were better than todays heavyweights?
And Mike Tyson is 54, not 38 now.
Yea I thought I was the only person who could tell these were little SPED UP snipets to make him look good.
Tyson has no foot speed and hasn't had and lower body explosiveness since FRANS BOTHA in 1999 (go look).
hey idiot.. i'm not the one who title the video like that. i am only posting the video how it came from the original source. :bottle:
these are literally sped up mini clips that transition into another sped up mini clip..I really can not believe people are falling for this stuff

Mike can still land a punch on ALL of these overrated HWs of today.
Puncher's chance.
Ridiculous that a 54 year old STILL has a chance over these scrub champs like Joshua etc...
