What can Wilder work on to win his third fight with Fury ?
Defensively He needs to quit going straight back. Offensively he needs to throw 1st and close distance.
Tysons going to come behind a heavy jab, if wilder can slip and throw 1 over the top it could be lights out.
If I am training Wilder I am telling him the truth. You cannot outbox Fury over the distance. You cannot outwork Fury on the inside. You are not physically stronger than Fury when in the clinch. And most importantly, Fury is more than capable of hurting you if he connects cleanly enough or frequently enough.
Wilder's best option in my mind is to go for broke in the 1st three rounds. Fury more than likely is going to press him again and try to buzzsaw him which will have Wilder fatigued by round 5. No amount of boxing is going to prevent that from happening unless you have an inside game or you knock the person the out.
He needs to get out of Alabama in the out in nowhere land training facility with the same guys, same sparring partners Mode . He needs to actually surround himself with reputable trainers most of all who will know how to teach and get through to him ,just because someone was a success themselves don’t mean they train very good. All the hillbilly southern guys will ruin it for him again he really needs a reality check and be by intelligent people in Detroit or NY and really dig into him or he has no chance at all. Who knows what they were feeding his brain this entire time it’s almost like he was on another planet the entire time .
Breland isn't a bad trainer, Deontay don't listen to anyone. He doesn't do roadwork. As soon as I hear anyone declare themselves too good for roadwork, I know defeat isnt far behind.
What can Wilder work on to win his third fight with Fury ?
The first thing in my mind is stamina. He has zero ability to handle any kind of pace. The rest won't matter if he's knackered by round 2.
A Hail Mary punch is his best option Wilder can practice 1000 years and he will never have the boxing skills to outbox Fury . That’s why Wilder is crying about some bogus glove scandal he’s trying to cry into getting gloves with no padding
He needs to work on his feet to even give himself a chance. He isn't going to defeat Fury in by suddenly being a better boxer or out muscling a man who substantially outweighs him. He's going to need to pot-shot Fury and hope to land a bomb. He at least gave himself a chance in the first fight but in the second he allowed himself to get mugged. If he's not throwing, he better be moving.
He's not going to out-finesse Fury.
That's Fury's whole game in the first place. He likens himself to Ali. He wants to stick and move.
So trying to box with Fury isn't really the best idea. Because that's his game. Fury in the 2nd fight just made it a street fight, to eliminate the "draw" possibility.
I feel that Wilder needs to learn to box. Fury tries to press into him, come off the line to Fury's weak side and hit him with the right hand.
That's basic boxing. If a guy comes in with his head down. Step off the line at an angle, then drop the right hand on their head. Right behind the ear.
That's boxing 101 but with Wilder's power. It's likely to put guys to sleep with just that little bit of boxing knowledge.

Some of those things I said he needs to do he has done them in other fights!
He used to throw combinations and in the Olympics he used to use feints!
It’s just him being drunk with his own hype and power in that right hand too much!
It’s also him not being used to being the smaller man, he’s usually the taller/somewhat bigger guy!
Wilder either has to make it a war an force the exchanges and use his left more cuz Fury will always be ready for that right hand or somehow box Fury!
Wilder can hit Fury but instead of just landing a bomb and then resetting, he needs to keep up the pace and combinations!
Like when he landed the right hand in the first round of the rematch, he should’ve went after Fury instead of taking a step back and resetting!
At last, I can agree with something you said about Wilder and Fury.
Forget the hype and nonsense about only needing to be perfect for 2 seconds, don't hang about waiting for Fury to make a mistake ... just go for him and throw punches, that's the only hope Wilder has of winning.
He'll need to learn how to box.
Objectively, Wilder has absolutely no boxing ability.
He never learned how to box. Full stop.
If he learns how to do things like jab and turn his man. That will set up his bigger punches by turning opponents, getting them on an angle, and dropping that haymaker.
But Wilder never learned how to box and no one ever taught him how to actually box. That's Wilder's problem.
Come in light like in 1st fight. Work on his jab and ability to clinch.
Wilders strength is fighting from a distance and in spots. Hes pretty limited but he can win...dont know that he will. Coming in heavy was a caveman move though...his speed is what makes his power devastating so go back to that.
Maybe come in ~210ish and stay light on your foot and just perfect single right hand shots
Wilder needs to come in lighter, because his body cannot cope with putting on extra muscle mass. Boxing wise? Wilder minus his power is a Intermediate level boxer 'That is how primitive his technical ability is in my opinion'.
So realistically in this short time frame, Wilder needs to learn how to throw straight & short punches 'I think it is unacceptable that he cannot shorten his punches, or understand when to shorten his punches while in a fight'.
He also needs to build up his core strength, posterior chain and stability 'I have no idea how Deontay Wilder plays basketball, because he is all over the show while moving inside of a boxing ring'.
If Wilder can improve all of these things, the fight will be more competitive 'But I am uncertain that he would win, even when making all of these improvements'.
What can Wilder work on to win his third fight with Fury ?Nothing. He has had a large number of pro fights and is in his mid 30s. He isn't going to improve much or suddenly become a skilled boxer in a few months. The Wilder we have seen is probably the Wilder will will continue to see only older and probably less confidence.

I've been saying the whole time he needs to jab, jab, jab and jab some more. Side step and left hook and you nailed it with feints and stop moving straight back.
He has shown natural athleticism and basic boxing knowledge throughout his career. He needs to forget he can knock most anybody out and try and beat Fury in a basic boxing match then he may actually land that big right hand.
He used to throw combinations and in the Olympics he used to use feints!
From bits I saw he used those skills pretty decently but seem to have disappeared...
He also needs to stop himself being bullied in the ring. He played straight into Tyson's leaning/putting weight on tactics...
In other words, Wilder needs to stop being Wilder.
