Anthony Joshua when he is weighing around 245 lbs and is in a hotly contested and highly entertaining fight has stamina issues as were in the cases of Wladimir Klitschko and Andy Ruiz I.
Jermaine Taylor was the epitome of a ten round fighter. Watching him in the championship rounds was just sad.
So was Delahoya those last 2 rounds cost him the Floyd Fight
Currently I’d say Ortiz but the guy has blood pressure and possibly heart issues ,he’s the only fighter I can remember not passing physicals and allowed to fight .
Prior to Fury that was the best fighter Wilder fought a 50 year with aligning health conditions
Kudryashov. Dude gasses after round 2
I'd say joshua too but he seemed to pace himself better in his last fight.
Joshua used to have pretty mediocre stamina but in his last fight with Ruiz he looked like an endurance machine. He did a complete 180 from his previous performances. I'm wondering if that's something that he'll be able to maintain.
Canelo used to lack stamina but that seems to be something he's greatly improved over the last 4 or 5 years. I used to think his lack of stamina would be the thing that does him in.
Currently I’d say Ortiz but the guy has blood pressure and possibly heart issues ,he’s the only fighter I can remember not passing physicals and allowed to fight .Not to mention that he is also 60 years old.
Ruiz, no he doesn’t collapse in a heap but if he could sustain a higher intensity level he’d be better than he is. He certainly could have removed all doubts in his fight with Parker.
Mike Tyson. Though to be fair, he always came in full guns blazing. It’s not easy to fight like that for 12 rounds.
Adonis Stevenson was usually dead tired after like round 6
Dillian Whyte
Young George Foreman
Mike Tyson’s style requires a lot of stamina ,come on now. Ha
You're right man, didn't he go the full twelve a handful of times? So basically he contradicted himself saying he was thankful that all his fights ended in the early (somewhere documented in an interview) rounds? Then he would counterpunch that he asked the public "you know how hard it is to get those early knockouts?" Talking about how much work it was to drop mfers. Lol. Anyway I know he had a touch of bronchitis one time ahha.
Anyone with asthma. When I think back I would have to say Shannon Briggs and Mike Tyson. Not too sure about the current crop. Ricardo mayorga used to smoke cigarettes but made it to the final bell a very few times. I know the Diaz brother's in MMA like to smoke weed but it doesn't affect their cardio. My countries light heavyweight champ is all about dedication. But in between fights he stays hood, getting his party on. Just like the late great Arturo gatti (rip) who partied too hard in between fights could have affected his stamina. Lord rest his soul.
