Currently, I have my top heavyweight all time list looking something like this.
1. Rocky Marciano (dude never lost and fought the best, only heavyweight that can say that)
2. Joe Louis (most title defenses, dynamite in both hands you never saw coming)
3. Gene Tunney (fought in a tough era over 80 times and only lost one fight)
4. Evander Holyfield (only guy to beat the Baddest Man on the Planet twice. Has some tough losses on his record and fought past his sell-by date, but all this in the hardest of the hard eras of tough HWs. Never quit.)
5. Iron Mike Tyson (The Baddest Man on the Planet, enough said)
6. Muhammad Ali (probably deserved to be higher but we didn’t see much of his prime; I think sixth is a fair ranking but think like I said, we never got to see his peak form)
7. Joe Frazier (Amazing infighter, schooled a prime Muhammad Ali, but ranked below since he lost the series 2-1)
8. Jack Johnson (pretty much invented the so-called Urban School of Boxing and has a great resume)
9. Riddick Bowe (The man was hot and cold, but he beat my guy Holyfield twice. I’ve got to tip my hat to him, and he made a pretty good name for himself in the toughest HW era of all time)
10. George Foreman (oldest HW champion and showed great resilience. Based only on raw punch power and not on other factors resulting in KO’s, I believe he was the hardest hitter of all time in my humble opinion)
With all that said, I feel that if Fury can play his cards right and make the right fights before he retires (and win them of course) then he could fall somewhere on the all time top ten heavyweights list, but obviously not at number one since he does already have the one draw. Also he can’t pass Joe Louis in my opinion. Not enough title defenses. If he beats Wilder a third time, beats Joshua twice, and beats Whyte and Usyk and Parker and Ruiz, I could totally see him somewhere on this list.
Do you think my eyes are open, or do you think IDKSAB?
Haha what a load of rubbish, I've rebuked your boring conspiracy theory many times, but i suppose i can do it again.
Fury suffered a well publicised nervous breakdown and was unable to fight, and what?
He's not the first or last boxer to ever fail a test, although why he would choose to juice up for Hammer and not say, Wlad is a bit of a mystery isn't it?
You don't constantly call Whyte a cheat despite him failing multiple tests, including one recently, so why the double standard?
Fury failed a test half a decade ago and has tested clean ever since, he's a clean fighter.
I made no real effort to hide my identity at all, if i did, I would've just created a new account. I changed my username for a couple of months because i was being stalked by some random Hearn casual and they were threatening to dox me.
Your not exactly Sherlock Holmes for working it out pal lol.
You call people Fury nuthuggers, but you're on here every day defending AJ's honour against people who dare to criticize him.
Don't worry mate, if you're lucky i might buy you a brass after the fight so you can cheer yourself up after seeing AJ slumped in the corner, beaten to a pulp. :boxing: I’m not bringing is failed test up as relevance to him today he has served his time...I’m saying you disappeared from NSB when fury got busted , got fat and all cuckoo.....changed your name and kept a low profile , I’m saying to You stop lying and admit that’s what happened , I sussed it was you and called you out and you admitted it.
You get called out by AJ posters all the time even now....who was it that was stalking you to make you change name , I was around so who was the maniac ?
I have given fury all the credit in the world for his comeback from where he was and it showed me another side to him I didn’t think he had and if and when he fights Joshua I’ll be the 1st to say fury well done if he beats Joshua ......personally I think Joshua beats him and I always have regardless of Joshua getting beat by the chubby chub...Joshua was off that night in my opinion but everybody knows he is infallible and could lose I have no doubt about that.
I have even put dinny juggernauts in his place when he tried to say Joshua was better than Lennox Lewis.
I’m a realist and from where I come boxing you earn your place amongst the greats and don’t just talk about it and as I said let fury beats Whyte , Joshua and maybe a usyk or dubois then we can have a serious chat about fury’s place in the pantheons of greats.
As for Whyte I don’t like him I never have and I hope fury fights him and beats him like a dog....but he still deserves his shot and if fury vacates not fighting him then there is a reason for it
So Fury beats a fading Wlad and a fighter who everyone (especially Fury fans) have now stated can't beat any heavyweight in the top 10 in Wilder (who Fury also has a draw against), has done nothing else of note but is worthy of a mention with the greats?! Maybe if you started watching boxing in 2015 but as it stands, we don't even know if Fury is greater than AJ let alone prime Wlad. He's nowhere near as accomplished as Holyfield and Lewis. So far, Fury might be the best of this era and is considered to be by many but we don't even know that yet. Let's see where his career goes before giving him achievements he hasn't accomplished yet. It wasn't that long since he looked like complete **** against Wallin, it's a bit premature to say he's up there with the greatest heavyweights.
Sports evolve. Would a sprinter from the 60s beat Usain Bolt? Would a tennis player from the 60s beat Federer? Would a football team from the 60s beat Liverpool?
People can deny it all they want, but Tyson Fury smashes every one of these old timers to little bits.
The only man who could give a 100% Fury any problems is Lennox Lewis.
Indeed
Always said people only romanticise boxing because of there is no official measurement of greatness like time or distance. In sports where there is a definitive measurement and record, theN pretty much every sport today is far far superior to in the past, it’s proven, so we would have to be very naive or stupid to think boxing isn’t the same.
Carl Lewis would come dead last in a 100m final today for the most part, the proof in times show it, but in his day he was a monster. Today you have teenagers getting near to his average times.
Boxing isn’t unique, it’s just a sport with Athletes that are superior today.
No he doesn’t and his deluded obsession with fury borders almost on fatal attraction levels.
Just look how many posts he makes makes about fury , it’s almost every day lol.
Somethings not right with him.
At least with you when fury was exposed as a cheat and got banned , you disappeared and didn’t show your face , And then you came back with a different Poster name , I was the 1st one who rumbled it was denium lol. Remember mate or have you forgotten that

He did win poster of the year, and is respected enough that the admins made him a mod.
LoadedWraps knows his ****, he knows that Fury is the real deal and has been proven right time and time again.

I told you already Anthony Joshua beats him.....in fact stops him.
Lennox Lewis beats him easily , Mike Tyson devours him and knocks him down like a redwood tree.
Watch the wallin fights , chisora fights , Cunningham fights....chisora and Cunningham are under 6ft 2.
Boxing you earn your stripes they are not given to you because you talk a good game.
If fury beats Whyte , Joshua and then maybe usyk then we can have a serious discusssion but until he does he’s not worthy to be mentioned with the true greats.
Your jumping the gun way to early.
Look at his resume ffs
- -U confusing evolution with the proven deevolution of U IQ.
U moved from U Barney BigBoys to U Harry Potter whiz kids yet?
You need some new banter, you're getting very boring.
How is it FairyQueen isn't perma banned ? All she does is troll
- -U in U glue bagzs again?
Extrapolate again what U know about evolution. The Marquis of Queensberry made his rule changes in the hotbed of Evolution debate, yet would never step so lowbrow as to call them evolution.
Next U anthropoids gonna waxing each other over Einsteins Theory of Relativity!
Priceless!

When I first got here I thought you knew what you were talking about. Now I clearly see that you only picked Fury by KO over Wilder because you probably pick that way against all Fury opponents. You’re no 2016 poster of the year. Just some delusional guy that calls himself poster of the year, ha.
I picked Fury over Wilder by KO as well but I showed my work in several posts btw.

I said others should be considered greater because their longevity and title reigns and depth in resume.
I think head to head, he arguably beats all those greats. He’s a new breed of heavyweight the world has never seen with that blend of skill, style and size.
Him against the greats would look like a regular size man fighting a young teenager, if you scaled it down, and then add in the fact the man has the skills to compete with anyone.
None of those guys could beat him. It doesn’t mean he was greater though, because it’s impossible to really compare eras.

are you on drugs ? Fury is not an all time great heavyweight and he some way to go before he makes that a list.

Rocky marciano is the greatest brawler with massive right hand
But he's too small and lack of coordination, footwork, head movement
I just don't see him as the greatest heavyweight .
Rock only had six title defences and two of them were rematches against guys he already beat. I saw Groucho Marx in a comedy bit talk to Rocks Mom about how Rock only fought “stumble bums”. Course Rock then showed up. The point is that was part of his stigma even way back then. I think he’s very polarizing now. I think half the people have him more overrated than ever and the other half see him with a jaundiced eye. It’s not like anyone talks about his great skills or tries to teach them or copy them. He had a good chin, a hard almost sneaky awkward right hand like Shavers, he was determined. I don’t think he ever showed up out of shape? But like you said he was great in his era, but he’s too small and not fluid enough to hang with a super heavy weight as we call them today. So I don’t know if people give him props for his time or actually believe he would smash all these modern heavies? It’s confusing. Everyone makes so much about weight, let alone height so I’d like to hear how they sell a 5’10” 190lbs Rocky vs these modern sized guys. Course he could bulk up, but he was a solid guy already, and another 25lbs would just ad skepticism I’m sure.
If we are going by resume -
Ali
Lennox
Holy
(gets dodgy now)
Vit
Wlad
Tua
Bowe
Mercer
J Ruiz
Foreman
If we are talking about fantasy fights (prime 4 prime) -
Holmes
Ali
Lennox
Holy
Vit
Tua
Wlad
Bowe
Foreman
Witherspoon

Very well said me lad.
The four who stand out for me are Tyson Fury, Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis and Larry Holmes. That is a formidable foursome.
Lennox and Holmes will be appreciated more as time goes by, but we always knew that. I mean I like Tommy Morrison like most people, but not sure why he’s getting so much love here, there’s levels to this thing. It’s easy to say he’s beat so and so but I bet all the same people would have a hard time dropping a guap at the betting window.
