When is Anthony Joshua's IBF Mandaotry due?

Will he be stripped? This came to my mind just before, Takam wasnt the ibf mandatory due to Pulev pulling out in 2017. The IBF Rules state: 1. Mandatory Defense Obligation Because of the circumstances inherent in and peculiar to the promotion of major Heavyweight Championship Contests, the Heavyweight Champion shall defend his Championship within one (1) year after acquisition by him in a sanctioned contest scheduled for twelve (12) rounds against the leading available contender designated by the Championships Chairman. After compliance with his mandatory defense obligation, throughout the remaining term of a Heavyweight Champion’s reign, he shall be obligated to mandatorily defend his Championship within intervals of no more than nine (9) months against the leading available contender in the Heavyweight Division as designated by the champiosnhips chairman Joshua won his ibf title back in december 7th 2019. So are they saying since the time he won it he has 9 months from december 7th to defend it against the mandatory? if not would he get stripped?

You think the WBA/WBO would of stripped Klitz??? They would have had to strip him if Fury went that far. Like you said, someone would be sued, and it would be the organisations - they are the ones with sanctioning responsibilities for the fighters The WBA had had their fair share of legal issues The WBO are notoriously close to Warren so I wouldn't be surprised But it never got that far. Yes Fury was in a difficult position - accept less money, or a rematch clause. But at the end of the day, he would still have 2 titles and a bigger payday, so who blames him? It wasn't the fault of the IBF

I’m not trying to be rude but 99% when you fight a A side they have rematch clauses. Heck Fury has to fight Wilder because of a clause. You will get stripped and sued if don’t do it. Rematch clauses only apply in contracts voluntary agreed to by both sides Fury could have forced purse bids against Wlad, as he was the mandatory for both the WBA/WBO, and not have to sign a rematch clause. But he would have only been entitled to the challengers official (WBA) purse split, which I think is 30%, could be lower. Either way, they came to voluntary agreement where Fury was paid more but had to sign the rematch clause. The IBF would have let his management know that a mandatory was due after this fight well in advance

Going 1-1 should not make you #1 so quick. He’s like that Chaz guy from UFC with a bunch of losses in title fights all the time. But ohh well Kovalov was an actual champ ranked at the time P4P #18. The IBF usually has good champs but the rest look like dog sht! Rolls Simon Says Losing a fight and then beating a bum #1 again??? Fury was stripped 10 days later. He had to sign a rematch clause to even fight Klitz. They stripped him because he agreed to the rematch instead of fighting some BUM IBF is a JOKE! Canelo JUST beat the guy who beat Sergiy and was stripped because he didn’t fight Sergiy next...Does that make any sense??? I understand stripping guys if they fight BUMS like GGG did but HIGHER ranked boxers p4p??? Fury didn’t need to sign a rematch clause to fight Wlad. He was the WBA/WBO mandatory. He did so to get a voluntary agreement for more money. That has nothing to do with the IBF Sergey rank #3 beat Culcay rank #2 to become the #1 IBF challenger in March 2019. He was dropped to #3 after the Jacob’s split decision in 2018 which is pretty fair. He worked his way up the rankings to get his shot

No he was stripped like two weeks later. I believe Fury was stripped days later. The IBF is a JOKE They usually leave the #1 and #2 spot empty until someone ponies up $$$ They leave the 1 and 2 spot empty until they a filled through IBF eliminators. Fighters often pass on these so they become vacant often

i've seen someone else post it before. i dont keep up on belt nonsense but its pretty clear they just make up whatever they want when they want, like how breazele became mandatory. that wasnt ibf of course but they are all corrupt The WBC, WBA and WBO have a get out clause that says something like ‘unless agreed to by the championships committee and/or president’ The IBF don’t have that. It’s why they stripped Fury, Canelo, and would have no issue in stripping Joshua. Given their murky history prior to federal investigation it’s easy to group them with the others. But really, they are by far the most transparent and predictable as they follow their rule book to a tee. It’s why they are the only group to only have a single world champion per division, and almost never have ‘interim’ champions

Pulev is the IBF mandatory and is due next There isn’t a specified date enforced as long as the camps are in negotiations and the IBF are kept in the loop

Takam was a mandatory, elevated to that status by IBF when Pulev pulled out injured. But that was in 2017, so he is due for another mandatory with Pulev getting his shot now.

they didnt. some say he did but since pulev fought an eliminator with fury he is mandatory. but again, it seems the ibf mandatory is due september 2020
