I am Fury`s fan and I say it is 50 -50.
Speaking Fury is a big favorite reminds me on Holyfield -Mike Tyson situation, when everybody thought Holyfield was shot because he was in some wars during Mike`s jail time and he lost some of them.
So now everybody thinks Joshua is shot because Ruiz beat him, i don`t see it that way.
Joshua will be the hardest fight Fury has ever fought.
I still believe that between Fury, Wilder, and Joshua...anyone can win on any given night.
Most would say Fury has skills advantage, which he does, but that doesn't mean he's untouchable. Similarly, Wilder may be low on skills but he can put your lights off at any stage of the game. And Joshua losing to Ruiz doesn't mean he will lose to every other guy too. He's an elite-level fighter, no doubt about it. So, yes there will be favorites but no contest would be totally one-sided (on average, exceptions excluded like Fury-Wilder 2). If I had to choose, I will probably favor Fury slightly above the others but not by much. If Joshua can pull a Fury (hit but not get hit), he beats Wilder but I doubt he can. Joshua ain't that fast or skillful. In a brawl, I see Wilder winning. Between Wilder and Joshua, I see Joshua giving Fury more trouble (styles). Wilder's chance against Fury is a lucky punch landing early (which itself is quite probable).
I’m a Fury fan and would love him to win But there’s two problems...
1. Pulev has a good shot at AJ
2. I think AJ is all wrong for Fury - it will be a lot closer than people think, a 50/50 in my book.
Paulie is not a hard puncher so you can take more risks but punching in the middle of his combinations is still risky ,and with guy like Ruiz its big no no
Yeah i get what you are saying, but prefer foremans saying: "never chase a puncher".
A lot of pressure fighters have slower handspeed when they face off against those opponents who are quick on their feet and throw a lot of flurries. The pressure fighter actually looks for exchanges to slow and break down his opponent regardless of handspeed.
Joyce or margarito for example are slow dudes, but just believe in their chin, toughness and heavy hands.
So you should never exchange with Malignaggi?

I think its 60-40 for Fury , AJ is sucker for counters and he gets irresponsible defensively ,He lost with Ruiz cuse he broke one of boxing main rules "never exchange combinations with guy who have faster hands" , Fury will probably catch him with some big counters ,i wonder how AJ will deal with Tyson's Jab and how will he approach the fight will he box ? will he try to hunt Fury down? It will be great fight for sure .

Fury should be a ginormous favorite over the hype job as of this present moment.
But I'd prefer if he was the underdog just so I could make some money. After what Fury did to the most dominant man in the division with the greatest KO rate in HW history- I don't see what AJ could do. Wilder hits harder and is more athletic and unorthodox (unpredictable) than him. Fury is a slicker Boxer who's got the size advantage and is more skilled than him. Fury also has a completely new aggressive gameplay we haven't seen from him before.
I certainly have Fury as the favourite. His recent performances put him at number 1 in the division for me but AJ definitely has a shot. He does the basics well, has decent speed and lots of power. If I was betting on the fight, I would go for Fury by UD. But I wouldn't bet my house on it.
Joshua is stiff, robotic and prone to counters. Fury is slick, quick, big and accurate plus a fantastic counter puncher.
**** I hope Fury IS a massive underdog. I'll throw money on it.
