Who was the last great American HW? Bowe? He had one great performance. Tyson? That was 30+ years ago. All the other recent American HWs either cherrypicked their way into a title, like Wilder, or were exposed when they stepped up in competition, like Mitchell or Kownacki. Yeah, the Riddick Bowe who was 104-18 in the Ams with an Olympic Silver Medal and 3x Golden Gloves, and who was 7-1 against Current or Former World Heavyweight Champions. one great performance.
