Considering it was his pro debut, Conor overachieved. Made it a good fight.
When youre carried by a guy so much smaller its not an over achievement, like getting a medal because the other team fell over.
Put Floyd in the cage with a 40 yr old retired MMA guy that is 25lbs lighter and see what happens.
Weight is a big deal with fighting especially with the top guys and its just about ignored in the forum, Weight alone could rewrite history its that big of a deal.
everything they write makes the forum look stupid
Wow great comeback. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You think Mayweather was top five all time? :lol1:
With everything considered I think Conor gave a good account of himself technically. He landed some good shots on Floyd and stunned Floyd with head and body punches, he was even counterpunching. He was also not easy to land on early. But Floyd was playing the long game with him because he knew he could barely go 20 minutes in MMA where he's familiar with that territory, so no way in hell he can go past that in boxing with the pressure he was putting on him, so there was no way he was going to go 12 without getting seriously hurt or stopped.
I think he deserves a bit of credit, it wasn't just a money grab, he really tried and did well. And no it says nothing about the sport, everyone with a brain knows that apart from experience, Conor had every single advantage he could possible have in there and Floyd wasn't even at 40%, but being competitive with 40% Floyd even at 40 is still pretty damn good for someone who never boxed before. He has no chance of going 4 rounds let alone be competitive against any younger middleweights or even light middleweights or the big welterweights.
You were only arguing with me that Berto wasnt his last real fight now you agree with me, lol you guys always shoot yourself in the foot.
is berto considered a real fight? i think ive always claimed floyds last real fight was agains that little japanese boy.
why do people analyze that fight like it was real?
You were only arguing with me that Berto wasnt his last real fight now you agree with me, lol you guys always shoot yourself in the foot.
Why????? Mayweather didn't even bother to train. He carried Conor, toyed with him, gasses him out and stopped him. Conor never had a chance. He is a great cage fighter but he has no chance against a top pro boxer under boxing rules. MMA is great and very exciting. some of those guys can really fight but Tyson overdoes it with extreme MMA love to the point of disrespecting his own sport.
Conor landed more on Floyd than Manny lmao
Boxing lost that night no matter to result
mind you Conor never had a boxing fight in his life
Boxing is apart of Mixed Martial Arts.
Mcgregor picked on a retried 40 + year old man, who he out weighed by 20 + pounds 'Mayweather still bulled Mcgregor and stopped him'.
Mcgregor really should be campaigning at middleweight, just imagine the type of damage that those boxers would do to him etc
Note: I am not against Mcgregor, he is probably he only UFC fighter that I kind of watch. I want to see him fight Paulie Malignaggi inside of a boxing ring, as that match up has a great back story.
Tyson loves MMA and MMA loves Tyson
And he has always been as jealous as fck with Floyd.
What gets me in all this stuff is no one mentions just how much bigger Connor is, dam over 25lbs bigger he should have walked through Floyd and yet it was him that got walked down, and that is not Floyds method of fighting, imagine Manny he would take his head off if he can reach it lol, and Canelo, hell Canelo would seriously hurt Connor.
Connor did nothing in that fight and was carried to Floyds win the bet round and stopped.
Connor with that much size advantage is a total joke in a boxing ring, he better stay away from Manny and Canelo.
