he obviously can`t beat top 5 welterweight guys. He can beat some guys like Lipinets ( already beat him), but he will never be on top of the game here.
He also has no intention fighting top 140 cats, which are Ramirez, Taylor, Prograis.
So I think he should struggle to 135 and fight Lomachenko, Gervonta, Lopez, Haney, all great fights.
If he stays at 147, he will be a new Broner.

I doubt he can make 135 at this point, Mikey should be at 140
Too much risk in not only moving to 135, but also possibly losing there as well. Much better ego wise, to fight in a division he shouldn't be and lose (while also getting paid handsomely), than to boil down and lose to someone considered smaller.

If he stays at 147, he will be a new Broner. He beat the hell out of Broner and he recently beat a top 10 welterweight in his last fight so he won't be the new Broner. You may think he should return to 135 but he won't because he doesn't want to. He is a big name in the running for a fight with Pacquiao. He would probably lose but he would be well paid. There are lots of guys he can beat at 140 and 147 and some he can't beat at those weights, Time will tell. He is still a high ranked guy at those weights with only the loss to welterweight champion Spence who has never lost.
Mikey's what, 31? Asking him to go to 140 is fair but below that, especially after such a long time since the last time he was there, is asking too much.
140 is his perfect weight class. I think he beats everyone there, but ramirez is his stablemate which means they will never fight and taylor is signed to Top Rank so that is unlikely to happen.
He's only fought at 135 twice in his career and probably struggles to make the weight, I don't think he can make it now. He's fought at 140 and above 5 times since his return in 2016.
