He looks good on the pads and still has the ability to throw a fast 4 punch combination. Looks good but can he fight? He couldn't go 6 rounds 15 years ago, and he lost to Kevin McBride. He was f'd up mentally and the world hated him.
Today he's happy and at peace and the world likes him, some love him even more because of his comeback in the game of life.
Here's a question, what if this guy trains seriously for 6 months , I'm talking sparring, everything,,,,, would you pay to watch a 3 rd real fight between him and Anthony Joshua? Would he get destroyed?
I implied that he was shot a long time ago and was beat by a nothing fighter in 2005. The reaction by all is appropriate and I obviously agree with you and everyone else. The strange thing is if he looks good in the exhibitions, some people would believe he wouldn't get hurt and could go 3 rounds because of optics. Even though we know better there's a part of us that would still want to see the sh@t show but won't admit it, we love the sense of drama and the underdog that's why we get suckered in to pay 90bucks or cheat and steal to watch. Logically the fight should never happen.
But then again I said the same thing about Foreman Moorer after George lost to Tommy Morrison.
This could happen. Not saying it's a good thing or I want it to happen but it could happen. Especially if Mcgregor with no fights goes against Floyd and they make a half a billion dollars.
Casuals would watch it but...
I have no interest in seeing Tyson fight again. Especially not at 53 with evident mental health problems.
I had no interest in Mayweather vs McGregor.
I had no interest in those YouTubers w***ers either.
As a boxing fan, I only want to see proper fights.
No............

My understanding was tat Tyson was talking about a possible charity exhibition, which seems fine/safe. No way he should go into the ring as a pro, let alone against a title-holder.
hitting the mitts is a lot different than being in a actual fight... tyson may look good on the mitts but his time is over. he will not be competitive if he were to come back and fight against the other HW's right now.
