For me a great punch
A - snatches victory from the jaws of defeat
(can't think of a one punch fight ender where the loser won, at the moment)
B - makes a guy continue fighting even though he has been counted out
Pacquiao decapitating Hatton was an all timer. I feared for Ricky’s life after that one.
Early Tyson KO’s we’re always epic as well.
Right. I still think Ricky did a great job of promoting the fight, “140lbs is my division” etc. There’s clips of him explaining/dismissing how Manny just repeats the same combo. I like both fighters and watched them both come up. My Dad visited for the fight. His Dad was an amateur champ in the Netherlands, so he’s been a legit fan for ages. He gets things right to a point I wonder if it can be as entertaining for him. ( The day after the Tyson v Spinks fight he said a guy named Evander Holyfield will beat him one day, he only would take even odds at the bar when it finally happened ) Anyway, just before the Manny v Ricky bell rang, he said “Don’t be surprised if poor Ricky gets cut to ribbons boys”. My heart kind of sank. Manny Steward could achieve the same effect with his predictions. But yeah his statement couldn’t have been more accurate. Nothing can really prepare u for Manny. It’s like studying for a test then finally sitting down for it and reading the question and ur like “What the hell is this?”
Definitely. Louis was like a breathing instruction manual on how to box and throw punches. Compact and efficient, his technique was devastating. Arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time.
110%
Rarely do you see anyone credible rank Louis outside the top 2 best heavyweights of all time .
Mayweather is an average puncher and therefor can't possibly throw the greatest ever punch. If he could throw a great punch he would be a great puncher and not the average puncher he is.Grd rushing in, with his best left hook and was a good well timed hard punch but no eat highly skilled boxer, yes. Great puncher no. He caught Hatton rushing in with a well timed well placed hard left hook and it was an excellent punch. A better and harder punch would be the left hook Pacquiao hit Hatton with the left Hatton out cold for a long time.
Joe Louis vs James Braddock is right up there for me . I'd say Louis had the nicest straight right in history . He also has some great knockouts with the left hook as well. And then the combo he stopped Walcott with in the 2nd fight . Joe Louis has to be the best puncher of all time. Not the hardest per se . But the most textbook puncher all time . He produced some special kos .

Best one I seen is When Mike Tyson make that one guy miss like 8 punches than throws a left hook to knock him out
Just seen this vid today mate Tyson at 53 .

I was going to bring up the Marciano KO. One of the iconic knockouts in boxing history.
Dude. The main event came on sooner than I expected. I was out picking up Chinese food for everyone with my gf. I got a text from my brother saying the fight was already on and that “Mosley was *****ing him up!” I was a bit shocked on all accounts. I raced back. I walked in and my brother was standing all jazzed up. It was in between rounds. My brother said that they found sum sort of foreign object in Margaritos hand wraps but they let the fight go ahead anyway. I just got to see the last round and Mosely straight up destroyed him. That’s all I got to see, but it was enough. Marg was a beaten pulp, at least at the time it felt like Mosely’s finest hour. I don’t think I’ve even watched the whole fight since. I like the way I remember it. Ha, I remember bringing pizza for everyone for the Manny vs Marquez 1 fight. I walked in and everybody was on their feet. My other brother yells “Marquez has been down twice already!!!” Good stuff.
Lmaooooo you made me spat out my cafe mocha! Dàmn you!
Those sound like good memories, yeah I couldn’t believe Mosley beat him and in that fashion as well!
It was a smart game plan by Nazim Richardson to have Mosley work the body, clinch Marg whenever on the inside and always be first!
After that Margarito was never the same, Shane even took a bow and a prime Manny didn’t want smoke with that version of Mosley as told by Freddie Roach!
By far, the Eubank Sr uppercut on Watson, tragically.
Perfect, incredible, devastating, shocking, tragic.
But yeah, it's right up there. It's a hard one to watch.
