I’m talking about wins against proper middleweights not blown up welterweights.
GGG beat: Jacobs, Derevyanchenko, Lemieux, Murray, Geale, Macklin, Rubio, Stevens, Monroe and some others.
Hopkins beat: Holmes, Allen, Joppy, Jackson, Johnson, Vanderpool, Hakkar and some others.
Who beat the better middleweights?

Fact is he beat Derv.
I thought GGG won anyway but it don’t matter. The official result still stands.

Conspiracy theory weirdos lol
You just said GGG lost to Derv and Jacobs.
You dumb f***wit.
No what I am saying is Hopkins should have been favored to beat Trinidad. I think it was a slap in the face for Hopkins and I'm not a fan of his fighting style later on.
At Middleweight Trinidad had only one fight. I knew it was a mismatch when it was announced. That's how it turned out. My opinion of Trinidad is this. He enjoyed a height and reach advantage over other fighters for most of his career. When he moved up to Middle he didn't have the size advantage and the right skills to compensate. Feel free to spin that anyway you want.
Dude, everything you're saying is absolutely irrelevant to my point.
Only on rematch
And ppl can make a case Jacobs beat GGG also, but GGG not cry about judging for Dervenchenko or Jacobs...just sayin
GGG severely overrated in these boards
Canelo lost twice and to Lara.
Canelo beat GGG ???
Haha what??

The proper perspective is that it's a historic win over an undefeated middleweight champion who is also a HOF fighter. Your opinion of Trinidad, or people trying to discredit it because Trinidad started at a lower weight just to elevate GGG, is a dumb attempt at lowering its significance.

Pointing out that the win should over Trinidad should be put in it's proper perspective is not elevating Golovkin. Golovkin was favored to beat Brook and Hopkins should have been favored to beat Trinidad.

Understood, and I respect your opinion. But that goes outside of the point I've been trying to make that the Trinidad win for BHop counts and trying to discredit the win to uplift GGG's resume is not right.

They are pretty much even arent they? Neither had great middleweights to go up against but both managed to beat the most relevant names. I think GGGs career would look better if he had rightfully gotten the nod, twice, against Canelo.
I'm saying that favoring Hopkins over Trinidad is a testament to how good Hopkins really was. I sad that in my original post. I've always thought Tito was overrated slightly, long before I heard of Golovkin. I said that then and my opinion hasn't changed. He had a size advantage over most Welterweight during his career. That's fine if he makes weight he's a Welterweight. However when he moved up and got in with guys his own size things changed and not for the good.

Lol, sure favoring Tito over Hopkins was a mistake, but that doesn't change how ridiculous it is to try and discredit Hopkins' win over Trinidad just to uplift GGG. Tito may have had only one fight at 160 prior to facing Hopkins, but he was a legitimate middleweight champion when he did so, and that counts for a lot more than what some of you guys are implying.

Regardless of what you think of Brook and Golovkin the fact remains that favoring Tito over Hopkins was an error by the odds makers. That's exactly how it turned out. Tito started out as a Welterweight just to remind you. He had one fight at Middleweight prior to fighting Hopkins.

It would be crazy to compare BHops against Trinidad to GGGs win against Brooks though. Trinidad was a better and bigger welterweight, superwelterweight and, as mentioned before, an undefeated middleweight champion when Hopjins fought him. Way different than a current (at the time) welterweight titlist moving up two divisions to fight for a championship.

When they announced that fight I was frankly shocked that he was favored over Hopkins. Maye that's a testament to Hopkins but the odds were out of wack. I felt the same way when Golovkin fought Brook. It was a solid win but not historic.

I don't know how much others may want it to count, but becoming undisputed champion is a pretty big deal regardless of the name of the champions you end up facing to accomplish this, just check how much credit Crawford gets (and deserves) for unifying the 140lbs division.
Doing it against an undefeated first ballot HOFer who was the favorite going into the fight is huge too, even if his best weightclass was below the middleweight division. Honestly, the win would've been huge even if Trinidad hadn't become a middleweight champion too. Kind of like Hagler's win over Mugabi is still very highly regarded.
