I am sure than the huge majority of boxing fans today have no idea who was Ken Norton. That was the guy that defeated Ali and gave him 2 another tough fights and also gave a very tough fight to Larry Holmes. Well, he was badly stopped by Shavers and Foreman, but still, he beat Ali.
Tyson Fury beat Klitschko, that is very good, but nowhere near beating 30 or 31 old Ali. Wilder has no good win at all, Joshua beat semi retired Klitschko.
It is obvious that Ken Norton is bigger than all active guys. What is your opinion, did you watch fights i mentioned?
My point was that that poster (Madison Boxing) likes to come across like some boxing expert. He gave a totally ignorant post about Ken Norton. My point is that if you don't even know who Cervantes was, you can't really know anything about Norton. Both of them fought at relatively the same time. That poster (Madison Boxing) is a racist scum bag with an Anti American agenda.
I don't know about the other stuff, but Cervantes is a fighter with a way smaller profile than Norton. Norton has a huge history with THE most famous fighter to ever live, so I'd say it's possible to be a massive expert on Norton, without ever having watched Cervantes fight.
Whether or not he is, I don't know. But it's very possible.
What does knowing Cervantes have to do with knowing Norton?
Strange, weird fallacy.

Lol 215 lbs 6ft3. He would get manhandled by Fury, Joshua and even Wilder would ko him. Sports evolve and even tho their boxing looked sharper and more esthetic back in the day, modern day boxers would dominate most of the time H2H.
For the simple fact that Ken Norton was a top heavyweight, during a time in history when? Boxing was probably still the worlds most popular sport 'When Giants walked the face of the earth' Historically in 100's of years time 'Due to the legend of that era, Ken Norton's legacy will most likely carry more weight than most of the heavyweights active today 'Whether they can beat him or not etc'
Wtf would you know about Ken Norton other than he’s black and American (the two things you despise)? A few months ago you admitted you had no idea who Antonio Cervantes was.

I've never gotten whole idea that Norton had "nerves" against big punchers. He just didn't have a good chin, and IMO his whole style was built around that fact. He had great defense and countered before the other guy could get a combination off. But against huge punchers (Foreman, Shavers, Cooney) it only took one punch to stagger him, and his defense collapsed. But against guys like Ali, who couldn't hurt him too bad with one punch, his style was very effective. His only other weakness was that, being a counter-puncher, he could get outworked or at least give the appearance of getting outworked since he was always waiting for the other guy to go first.
Against today's heavies: Wilder would probably KO him, just like Shavers did. Joshua would have a harder time, and would have to hope he caught him clean with something big before eating too many counters - pretty even fight. Fury would really struggle - it's a style nightmare for him, just like it was for Ali. Can't KO him, can't get him off you, blocks & counters everything... he's have to try to stay outside and jab his way to victory like Holmes did. Holmes said Norton was the hardest fight of his career.

Styles make fights. Ken had a style that gave Ali fits. I thought Norton got screwed by the judges. Haven't seen them again since they were first aired but that's my take away.
Joshua cleaned out the division minus fury and wilder.
He beat wlad, povetkin, parker, ruiz and other top rabked undefeated hw. He was gonna pu tthe smack down on pulev too.
Idk whats with the joshua hate on the board the guy is #2 hw in the world. Only reason fury is #1 is because he dethroned wlad, has claim to the lineal championship and beat Wilder twice, thoroughly DOMINATING him in the rematch, stopping him in the process.
Fixed it for you
Norton doesn't come close to being as big as AJ back in the day. Nor would he come close to beating him or Fury. Whyte and Usyk beat him too. Norton freaked out when presented with a puncher. He mentally collapsed. AJ and Whyte would wipe him out quick. Fury and Usyk would outclass him and bust him up. The Usyk fight would go to points. Fury would grind him down similar to what he did to Captain Spoonlegs.

He wouldn't have beat Joshua or fury
