Pacquiao champ in 8 weight classes
Tyson youngest HW champ (20)
Foreman oldest HW champ (45)
Hopkins oldest world champion (49)
Jimmy Wilde longest unbeaten streak: 103 fights
Armstrong most titles held concurrently in different weight classes (3)--he almost made 4 when challenging Ceferino Garcia to a controversial draw for the middleweight title.
how long will this record stand? 2 top coward WW's Crawford and spence not fighting each other before spence accident? or any other top fighters not fighting one another
8 divisions is a joke.....neither he nor margarito were even ranked in the top ten at 154 and it was at a catch weight :puppy_dog
Cry about it all you want, he is still recognized as the only 8-division champion.
:wtf1:are you talking about they fought at 150 and neither were ranked in the 154 pound division
- - What part of WBC sanction and Manny well under 150 do U not understand?
U punch drunk too or jus too full of poo?
- -WBC sanctioned. All divisions but the original open divisions are catchweights.
What grade U in?

Where is your reading comprehension. That is not what I said. I said Canelo holds belts from two divisions as the world or super champion. At 168 he is a “regular” champion which is a secondary title.
- -Pedantic logic serves ill purpose.
Canelo scheduled BJSaunders for Cinco de Mayo weekend in Vegas got called off because of Corona ravages.
Most default to him winning that title rightly or not.

How about the youngest lineal champion at the age of 19. Is there anyone in the past upto present other than pac who had achieved it?
wilfred benitez was 17 and pipino cuevas was 18
try again
You list Pac's 8 divisions world titles but then when someone says Canelo hold 3 world titles in different divisions you say doesnt count because not from the original 8 divisions.
At least be consistent. Either the original 8 divisions matter or they dont.

Wasnt Benitez 17 when he won the lineal / wba championships from Cervantes?
Your exact words were " they didnt fight in NYC duh "
That tells me you thought it was a regional title so I simply explained this to you . When did I ever say that champs didnt take stay busy fights or say that the middle title was on the line for henry to win ?? I didnt I just gave u the knowledge u clearly lacked to explain what the title was .
- -It was a regional title promoted as a world title.
U trying to Dum me down to U slug level ain't working.
First of all, I don't think Mike Tyson's record will ever be beaten. The next least likely for me is Wilde's unbeaten streak, simply because fighters don't fight as much nowadays. The Pacquiao and Armstrong records, I also don't see them being beaten anytime soon.
However, the records by Foreman and Hopkins seem achievable to beat. E.g. if Shannon Briggs had fought Charles Martin for the IBF in 2016, that seems feasible that he could've won that, and Briggs would've been 44 at the time. As for Hopkins, what we are seeing now is elongated lifespans, where we are getting better at keeping healthy for longer, I can see a very dedicated and defensively-minded boxer being able to go longer, given all the technological (and chemical!) advances that we have. It's the Foreman record that will be broken first imo
Right. So many things would have to come together to get practically a teenage HW to fight a champ. The promoter would have to own everyone involved. If he won a belt he’d be exposed to all the other champs after. Waiting and building up fights seems to be the precedent these days. Props to Mike.
Great OP question. The first record to fall, I think, will be Foreman's oldest HW champion (45.)
-- Fighters today fight less often, so less wear and tear.
-- The HW class is the most forgiving to oldsters
-- The other records are all freakish.
The second record to fall will be Armstrong's, since today belts and titles are such common gimcracks.
- -Champs taking nontitle fights to stay busy the norm back then. The only middle title vs Armstrong was the Cornflakia title.
Time to Change them BigBoy trainers.

Canelo holds two major titles, one minor one, not the same. Armstrong also did it back when there were only 8 weight classes.
The Armstrong fight was recognized as a World Middleweight Title fight only by the California State Athletic Commission. Garcia was also recognized as World Middleweight Champion by the New York State Athletic Commission, but the NYSAC version of the title wasn't on the line because the fight was scheduled for ten rounds, instead of fifteen.
Good call on the AJ stat.

Boxing is more engineered these days, so pretty much all of those records can be broken if? A team/consortium of passionate and invested people wanted to achieve it etc
