In fairness nobody talks about Morales and Barrera either. Everyone knows it was an epic rivalry with lots of back and forth action. Canelo and GGG are literally the same imo. And the controversy is funny. Adelaide Byrd scored it like 10-2 for Canelo - a joke. Had she scored it 7-5 for Canelo people wouldnt have blinked an eye. Both fights were razor close and couldve had at least 2 valid outcomes. If the 3rd is close again it has to go in that list, but if Canelo hammers GGG out why wouldnt it be like Manny JMM? Great point about Adelaide’s scorecard That would of saved us many headaches lol Imo , Canelo beat him very convincingly in the second bout I don’t see any reason for this third fight Unfortunately , I think GGG is way passed his prime or maybe Father Time caught up to him I’d be surprised if he keeps this fight close and if he does it’ll be him digging real deep , fighting literally out of emotions

Really was. I was a huge Rafa fan and I was a little pissed that Vazquez had the upper hand of the trilogy, same with MAB over EM, but years later obviously you can't help but appreciate what you saw. Granted, Rafa evened up the score in the 4th fight, but that fight should have never happened....I will take it though lol. Totally agree Vazquez was my guy but I’ll tell you what , I quickly became a Marquez fan ( although like you said that 4th fight was not needed ) Anyway that was some great boxing , became hard to watch cause I really thought highly of both guys

Gatti vs Ward standard wise was a level or two below the others so the rivalry means less to me. Understandable. All great fight series of course and Bowe/Holyfield had HW implications and delivered. The first fight is arguably the best HW fight in the last 30 years.

That's tough. Maybe something like : Morales vs Barrera Vasquez vs Marquez Pacquiao vs Marquez Gatti vs Ward Holyfield vs Bowe

It was difficult for me to chose which one would take my #1 spot. But because of all the Bad Blood and the fight at the press conference I went with ... 1 Morales / Barrera 2 Marquez / Pacquiao 3 Vasquez / Marquez 4 Holyfield / Bowe 5 Gatti / Ward

Marquez was my favorite fighter but i listed the Pac 1 fight low on the list because lack of consistent, two way action.

1. Morales-Barrera 2. Marquez-Vazquez 3. Bowe-Holy 4. Marquez-Pac 5. Gatti-Ward.... overrated

Can dig this list, though a bit unfair to have Gatti/Ward LEVELS below the other rivalries. But yeah, the order looks good. Gatti vs Ward standard wise was a level or two below the others so the rivalry means less to me.

Those Manny and Marquez fights have so much replay value, I don’t think there’s a boxing rivalry that can top it. Nonstop action all 42 rds. Neither of them backed down. Neither one fought with mentality of winning on points. They gave it their ABSOLUTE ALL. Every time. Hats off to those gentleman. Incredible series. They could do 10 fights with each other even now and they’d still sell 1M PPV buys each time, lmao. The truth! Perfect styles and mentality for a great match up.
