Wat weight is better for Golovkin in the trilogy 160IBF weight or 168?

That was more the case back when CW was 176-190 IMO. Its a good division (or was until everyone moved up) it's basically like watching 70's Heavyweight boxing haha. GGG is my guy but Canelo likely stops him at 168 now, and that’s prob the best weight for both to make too. Golovkin is up there in age for his style, and is that classic puncher that can’t pull the trigger anymore. Canelo is at his peak right now too.

I wasn't overlooking it last year, but Usyk and Gassiev who were 1 and 2 have both moved up. I assume the champs are Briedis and Dorticos? Dorticos is a fun fighter I never got a chance to watch much of Usyk until last year, so you're right. Feels to me like a case where what will almost assuredly happen anyway (168) is also ideal overall for both guys at this point, for slightly different reasons. Canelo for having most recently campaigned higher and going back down generally being more of a ***** once you've gone in the opposite direction, and GGG more on account of weight cutting being more of a slog and drain with age. That's assuming 168 not 168* obviously agreed, 168 is better

I don't know that it matters. If Canelo says it has to be 168, I imagine that's where it will be. I don't see Canelo as having an advantage just bc hes fought above 160. He's still shorter. He has power at 160 or 168 or 175.

I think Canelo is gonna pick a weight that puts GGG in a disadvantage This is the correct answer. 168 is actually better for GGG at this point if its Canelo he is fighting. 160 is where Canelo will do the 3rd fight.

Canelo's bouncing from weight class to weight class to throw everybody off. I doubt he can suck down to 160 at this point. He was always too big for 154, so he campaigned at 155 for years and finally snuck into the 160 lb division. Before you knew it, he jumped up to 168 after the GGG rematch and back down to 160 to face Jacobs. He faced Kovalev at 175 just 6 months later....so, only God knows what weight class he fights at. Lol The story of his career lol.
