I think the source of it is mainly that Wilder's fans cannot accept or comprehend that he lost. I think his fans bought into this mythical concept of him. This man who has knocked out 41 opponents in 42 fights (despite the fact that his resume was extremely poor, padded and protected) but often that is overlooked. Ring Iq said it best, people simply can't cope with the fact he lost and lost bad.
PBC did an expert job of hyping this guy up, protecting him, hyping his opponents up (Ortiz).
Like im being serious people were talking about this guy in historic terms.
I said all along he's just Michael grant in a slightly weaker era with a team even more risk averse.
But even I was ALMOST fooled man, by Brezeale and Oldtiz 2 of all things, I mean I knew both those guys were no good really but for some reason I almost bought in, I almost thought maybe this guy is actually pretty good.
Thank God for Fury man he came along and exposed the truth I always knew.
I see the remaining Wilder fans as like Pyramid scheme victims who can't handle that they got had, so they are still trying to make something happen when it's just not there
Wilder is who he is..... U say those fights almost fooled you, but how did he win? Not by boxing, by taking guys heads off. Fury is the most skilled heavyweight by a landslide.
Im suprised by the 2nd fight but not surprised, it was gonna eventually happen. Just didn't think it would be so dramatic.
So like i said Wilder is who he is...
If u think he was a bum he overachieved, if u think he was ATG etc heavyweight then you would be disappointed.
But for everyone who know who he is, what he always was. Your opinions not gonna change too much about him. ( except post fight bs)
People who don’t understand boxing gravitate towards KO artists or all out attackers. That’s why Tyson, Pac, Trinidad, Hatton fans were some of the worst. Uneducated fanboys.
thats what it seems

They aren't real boxing fans but they are emotionally attached. So they can't accept he lost.
No different than the Pac-fans and their excuses about the Marquez KO and Mayweather lost which has never died...
Casual fan rubbish..... No point in spending too much time on it..ya kno
