Why do ppl love to hype up Cottos rematch with Margarito?

Because I don't know how to attach pictures. I'm sure anyone can type in Cotto's face after Margarito 1 in google and see that his face was obviously in a way worse state after the first fight. So ask someone.

Cotto is such a fuking diva. Naseem found something in the gloves for the Mosley fight. Cotto sees it as a chance to erase one of his losses. Cotto has zero proof at all there was anything wrong with the gloves Margo used in his fight. HIS TEAM APPROVED THE GLOVES! Cotto is the biggest fuking Diva and sore loser ever. Every fight he loses he runs out the ring refusing interviews and claiming he was robbed.

From what I saw if the eye didn't blow up again then margarito would have beat him. He was getting to cotto I agree. Cotto looked good in the beginning, but wasnt hurt Marg at all. Marge eye wasnt healed after Pac and Cotto aimed at it all night. But by round 5, Marg started coming on and backing Cotto down. Wasnt going to be a good night for the borikua had it not been stopped imo

Yeah I realize Margarito probably cheated on their first fight but in fight 2 ppl act as if Cotto was beating the fook out of Margarito! IMO even as blind as Margarito was it was still gonna be a decision win for Cotto nothing spectacular There is no shame in not being able to stop Antonio Margarito. After all, a prime Manny Pacquiao laid a savage beating on him and he still made it to the final bell. As for Cotto-Margarito 2, I thought Cotto was winning handily on points but the tide was turning and we were robbed of a conclusive ending.

good victory for Cotto, revenge? redemption? nah, he won but wouldn't call that fight a revenge... The one to really ruin Margo was Pacman, now that was a beatdown

Cotto was doing good early in the fight but I think Margarito was getting to him. Cotto was fortunate to have had the fight in his backyard and the fight stopped. Margarito was answering all the questions correctly, there was no reason for them to have stopped it. Imagine if the eye wasn't a problem, what would be the reason for stopping it, the fight would've ended same as the first. Maybe if Margarito had a bum knee like Foreman and Martinez, then maybe Cotto would've been able to stop him properly rather than get saved by the ref.

Cotto was holding him, pushing him back and the last round was the worst one for Margo which his head was snapped back a few times. This is one of those fights that I wished it went to the end instead of hearing all these narratives of what was going to happen. Everyone is in agreement that it should have never been stopped

Id compare that fight to Mayorga-Spinks in a sense that everybody from the judges, doctors, and the fans were against one fighter. Margarito-Cotto 2 were wrong in so many way. Margarito got done dirty. Gtfo with that revenge sht. That was no revenge lol. Cotto fought scared as hell and needed the doctor to save him. The referee, doctors or the judges. Margarito was gonna get fked either way by one of them that night.

Cotto was one of my favorite fighters before the first fight he was a complete fighter with great power . The damage he took from that scumbag loser he was never the same even though he had a HOF career . I always wonder what if but that’s not how it works . Shame but he got his revenge!

I know right!!! Not that I support Margarito or anything, but the rematch was a cash grab, he already had a glass eye and for a round in the middle rounds I thought it was de javu all over again. As I see Cotto going through the same thing as he did in their first fight, I was finally glad when he won and got whatever redemption he wanted for himself. But I didn’t think much for that victory. I think everyone wanted to see a more conclusive ending one way or the other. If I had to bet on the outcome without the stoppage, I would bet that Cotto makes it to the final bell. I wouldn't bet too much though because Margarito was finishing strong.
