Bob Arum reveals Fury vs Wilder PPV buys closer to 1.2m

Before the fight I posted at least 1 million. People who never call on a fight night were calling. Tonight for Vargas vs Garcia I had eight people show up But I think was more to do with the tri tip and ribs. Just saying. I thought a million buys also. There was lots of promotion and hype. I was surprised when I heard 750k only, though others weren’t. They did mention it broke the HW gate total, but they were also comparing it to a 20yr old fight without adding inflation. Everyone comes for the food and we overpay for it all the time, humans are the worst.

Whatever its worth, here in the UK it attracted a fair amount of casuals. It's the first fight I ever bought and so did my friends. All digital.

Bob is saying that insiders might be correct 850k but they did not include the digital purchase which is around 300k. so Arum maybe right on this one. If this is the case, then AJ should stop with his 70-30 split BS.

Most people don't even believe the 850k numbers and now Bob throws out a BS 1.2m buys.It is in the promoters and networks best interest to lie about the numbers to try to keep ppv alive.
